Thompson a long and rangy really cleans up on the boards on both ends of the floor for the Lady Tigers. She runs the floor very well and strictly plays down in the paint. Kamari does a nice job of rebounding the ball outside of her area on both ends of the floor. Thompson averaged a double-double this season for the Lady Tigers.
She keeps the ball up high when claiming it off the glass and really understands on how to play down in the paint. Thompson was very instrumental in the Lady Tigers success over the past few years.
Farmer is still a bit of a RAW talent on the hardwood for the Lady Knights. Tashiana runs the floor very well and at times she wants to play outside on the perimeter. She’s most effective down in the paint where she is active on the glass. Farmer has good length to alter and challenge shots at times on the defensive end.
She didn’t play much Grassroots ball last summer. Farmer has told Prep Girls Hoops she would like to play her college ball fairly close to home in the Carolinas or a neighboring state.
Goss is extremely strong in the classroom with her academics. She will collect an associate degree before entering college. She plays the game in the paint and at times might be undersized. Darnaishia really plays bigger than her size and does a nice job of playing 2-4 feet from the basket. This seems to be where she’s most effective around the basket.
Goss averaged 7.8 ppg and 10.3 rebounds this season for the Lady Warriors (17-10).
Howard likes to play on the perimeter for the Lady Chargers but seems a better fit down low in the paint. Ryian started her career at Cane Bay HS before transferring over to Northwood Academy the past two seasons. She averaged 11.4 ppg and 9.8 rebounds for the Lady Chargers in SCISA Class 4A. She can bring the ball up in transition at times with her versatility on the floor.
Ryian also plays volleyball and softball for the Lady Chargers.
Samaya is more of mover-screener down low in the paint. She truly is a back to the basket post player for the Lady Raiders. She does a really nice job of keeping the ball up high when rebounding it off the glass. Johnson might be better suited in more of a half-court style of play at the college level. Samaya never got many touches this season as the Lady Raiders were a dominant guard heavy team.
