Julie Janus has been a leader for AC Reynolds over the past several seasons handling the ball and serving as the floor general for her group. She can make plays herself attacking the basket using some nice adjustments on the way up or even showing off spin moves on fast breaks. She can certainly step outside to knock down her shot from deep creating space herself or getting open without the ball to put up the shot. She’s able to get inside using post moves to convert her points on the block as well.
Paige Overcash uses every bit of her height to get inside for some rebounds. Her ability to grab offensive rebounds is sure to turn into points as she puts it right back up through the hoop. When grabbing defensive rebounds, she is sure to find the best outlet to push the ball up the court. She does a nice job running some pick and roll plays from the free throw line executing at the perfect time to create her own opening and score two points.
Samantha Meyers has been absolutely setting the nets on fire knocking down her shot from deep. She is patient waiting for the pass, and she puts up her shot without anyone being able to get a hand in her face. It’s no surprise she knocked down four in the championship game for Concord Academy. She handles the ball well, too, finding ways to attack the gaps and fill in the lanes as she shifts the defense with her movement.
Jai’lun Brimmer fits right in with the Patriots’ scorer’s mentality. She can knock down her shot from deep, and she attacks the basket making shots at all angles and sides. She has some nice hesitation moves to blow by her opponents. Her dribble penetration easily draws defenders towards her making it easy to open up the court for her teammates, and she is quick making some nice backdoor cuts to get the pass and bucket.
Lauren French is usually one of the taller players on the court, and she takes full advantage of her length to cause problems for her opponents. She does a nice job sealing off her opponents and creating an area for her teammates to drop the entry pass. She is a dominant rebounder on both ends of the court, and she uses offensive boards for some second chance points. She’s almost certain to protect the basket and block some shots along the way.
Ella Chepul is an athlete that can fill multiple roles when she steps on the court. She is a knock down shooter from deep, and she gets inside to battle contact and score some points. She moves all around on offense finding the gaps and shifting the defense herself. She is aware of how a ball will fall off a shot as she follows it to grab the rebound. She can handle the ball, too, pushing it up the court on fast breaks.
