No one is really separating themselves from the pack yet but did well enough to get on our radar. The top 25 are safe so far but these newcomers have an opportunity this summer to up their stocks and crack into the top quarter of the class.
Mya has athleticism and is also gifted at track and field. She can knock down three pointers when open and her feet are set and is a good defender.
Sara is a good finisher and has good timing on her blocked shots. She averaged over 15 points per game in wins against Reservoir and Marriotts Ridge earning player of the week honors.
Highlights
Ariana has the length that is desired by every coach in the country. She has already helped Wise secure a county championship and if she continues to improve on schedule she can be one of the most sought after seniors in the area. She alters shots in the paint making her valuable even without scoring.
Hailey has a good mid range game and active hands on defense. She has a nice release catch and finish. She led the Patriots in scoring and assists in the Holiday Hoops Classic to earn her way into the watchlist.
John Carroll had a good run around nine years ago and with Grace they may be able to make some noise again. She is in a position where she can excel on the court and expand her game. Watching her earlier this year I can see her strong defense being the catalyst for her scoring as she was able to create multiple turnovers and tuhem in to points.
