Arapahoe is a team that has flown under the radar for much of the season. Mostly because they’ve had times where they have looked great but also times where they haven’t looked good at all. Regardless of the times, one thing has always remained the same which is Gianna Smith Gianna Smith 5’9″ | CG Arapahoe | 2025 State CO is a bucket. As a sophomore I don’t think there is anybody else as patient and efficient as her when it comes to scoring the ball. During the upset win of #1 Valor Christian Gianna had her full scoring package on display with a team high 24 points to lead the Warriors to the Final Four next week.
Although Cherry Creek made it to the Great 8 last year this was Braelynn’s first time being able to play, she had an ankle injury that kept her from playing. Her absence played a big part in their lost, so this season she played with a chip on her should hoping to get back to this stage again. Well not only did they get back but they’re the number 2 seed, all behind the paint presence play of Braelynn she brings toughness and skill most post players don’t have. In the 48-35 win over Doherty she posted 16 points and 11 rebounds leading the team to the Final Four against Grandview next week. The team spilt games during the season so this will be a must-see matchup.
