Oakland Tech Player Performances:
Taliyah Logwood
Taliyah Logwood
Taliyah had a great showing in the championship game with some solid numbers to boot, she ended the game with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. This was a solid performance for her and she did it all from scoring the ball to rebounding in the paint, she was a beast down low with 12 boards. This double-double game was a good one to add to her resume, coaches should be taking a good look at this kid, she is very solid and plays with a very high IQ for the game.
Terri’a Russell
Terri’a Russell
Terri’a put in some work as well as her teammates, she made it work with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist. She is a young player with a lot of versatility, she can board as well, she can run the floor like a gazelle and also defend very well and use her size to her advantage. She was two rebounds shy of a double-double as well, but she did what was needed for her team to get the victory, we loved watching her play. She moves very well for an athlete her size, she plays bigger than 6’1 in our opinion, very lengthy, we love that from her.
Erin Sellers
Erin Sellers
Erin scored 14 points, 4 steals and 1 assist in this game, she was a dynamic scoring guard that gave the team some good ball handling, some playmaking skills and was able to break down the defenses and get some lane penetration to help her team get easy scores. She was quick, she ran the offense like the coach wanted her to and she limited her turnovers on the court like a good lead guard should do. This kid is senior and some college will get a good player here, we cannot say what level, but she is very worthy at playing at the next level for sure.
Corona Santiago Player Performances:
McKinley Willardsom
McKinley Willardsom
McKinley had a great performance in this game as well, she scored a game high of 21 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks and 3 steals. This is a big game performance for her and she did all she could to keep her team in the game. She was 4 blocks shy of a triple-double which is a great feat, but she did everything necessary and put her team on her back to try and get the win. This kid has great size, uses her body well, she is beast inthe paint and she is a shot blocker supreme, six block shots in a game is a great accomplishment, you have to have some great timing to block that many shots.
Jayda is a phenomenal sophomore and she shows us each and every time she steps foot on the floor and we love to watch her play, she is dynamic on the floor, she is strong and she has a positive presence every time. She has a good game with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assist and 1 steal in this game, she also put everything she could in this game to try and get the win. We have seen Jayda play many times with her team, she still amazes us with the way she approaches the game, coaches she is real and she will help a team at the next level.
