Jerzy Robinson Jerzy Robinson 6'0" | CG Sierra Canyon | 2026 State CA – She already has had offers for full scholarships from these colleges – Arizona, Arizona State, Ohio State, UCLA, Alabama, Georgetown, USC, and Texas A & M. Desert Vista’s top scorer (22.0 ppg) is an imposing 6-1 with three-point scoring skills. Possessing great footwork, she averaged 8.2 rebounds a game and 2.4 steals per contest. In the State Championship game, a win over Millennium, Jerzy had 21 points and nine rebounds. The Lady Thunder recorded a 28-3 record and won the inaugural Open Division State Title. Jerzy is considered one of the top fifty freshmen in the country.
EVALUATION: Jerzy is an intimidating 6-1 guard/forward at both ends of the floor. As a freshman, she has already been offered a full scholarship by more than a dozen colleges. She helped Desert Vista to the first Open State Title with a win over Millennium. In the final, she scored 21 points and had nine rebounds. She is a tremendous defender with great range and anticipation. As she approaches her sophomore season, she is only going to get better.
TATIANA HARNESS – averaged 23.5 points per game for Leading Edge Academy in Gilbert. Playing in Division 2A, Tati uses her quickness to control the defensive end with 6.3 steals per game. She also averaged 3.8 assists per game and 5.5 rebounds. She also had a career-high 42 points in a game last January vs. Valley Lutheran. She is a transfer from PHH Prep. As a 14-year-old, she was in a YouTube video showing her shooting and ball-handling skills, entitled “No Days Off.” She also plays for her father who coaches her club travel team, Arizona Select.
EVALUATION: Tati has gained valuable experience as a competitor, playing for her father on her club team, Arizona Select. Even as a freshman, she has outstanding offensive skills as both a shooter and ball-handler. She is also a tireless defender, with great anticipation, averaging more than six steals per game. With three more high school seasons ahead of her, Tati should have an outstanding career.
SHANIELLE MALLORY is a combination guard for Raymond Kellis High School. She averaged 21.8 points per game and finished fifth in the state with 5.2 assists per game. She also averaged 6.4 rebounds and 5.6 steals per game. Shanielle was selected as Player of the Game by Max Preps with a 27-point performance in a win over Buckeye High School last November. AZ Central selected her as Player of the Week for the week ending January 21st. She also made the All-West Valley Prep second team as a point guard.
EVALUATION: Shanielle, even before she starred as a freshman at Kellis High School, learned her offensive and defensive skills with her club team, Team Legacy. As a freshman, she led Kellis in scoring, assists, and steals. As a defender, she has quick hands and great vision which leads to steals and turnovers. Shanielle was selected to the West Valley Prep second team.
Aspen McClees Aspen McClees 5'10" | PF Gilbert | 2026 State AZ – is a 5-10 guard/forward for Gilbert High School. In 28 games, she averaged 12.9 points per game along with 8.2 rebounds. She was also selected as Player of the Game by Max Preps a total of 13 different times during the 2022-23 season. Aspen can play all five positions on the court and has had multiple double-double games. One scout commented on her game: “She has played beyond her years all season but never more so than in Gilbert’s 60-48 holiday win over Chinle in the Epic Tourneys New Year’s Classic. She scored 24 points on 10 of 13 shooting.
EVALUATION: As a freshman, Aspen already has an outstanding offensive and defensive game. She averaged 13 points and eight rebounds per game while literally playing every position on the floor. She leads a superb fast break, plays well in transition, and has improved her shooting from both the perimeter and beyond the arc. In 28 games, she was selected as Player of the Game 13 different times. Aspen is also a ballhawk on defense, leading her team in both steals and deflections.
America Cazares America Cazares 5'7" | CG Pueblo | 2026 State AZ – Pueblo lost in the State Championship game to Flagstaff earlier in March, 68-65. America’s older graduating sister, Victoria, had 27 points in the game and America chipped in with 18 points. In 30 games over the 2022-23 season, she averaged 17.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game. Her sister was the Warrior’s top scorer. She was selected to the first team, All-Region. America was also nominated by WaFd Bank as Arizona High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for her performance during the week of January 9th. In a win over Canyon del Oro that week, she had a double-double: 20 points and 12 steals to go along with four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
EVALUATION: One of the top freshmen in the state, America, and her older sister helped lead Pueblo to the Championship Game. Although the Warriors lost to Flagstaff, 68-65 Victoria had 27 points and America ended up with 18. America has also played extremely well with her club team, AZ Supreme, during the spring and summer months. Her overall game is continuing to get better. Only a freshman, can you imagine what she will be like as a senior?
