America Cazares America Cazares 5'7" | CG Pueblo | 2026 State AZ is the All Time Scoring Leader in Arizona. She averaged about 35 points per game this season and that led the state. She is incredibly skilled at hitting 3 point shots, and her range is much deeper than the High School 3 point line. She can also score on drives to the basket and mid range jump shots. She has good size for a 2 guard, and she can play small forward as well. She is a good defender, a good passer, and she is very skilled at handling the ball. America will play for Pima Community College next season.

Flat-out bucket getter. America has been lighting it up for Pueblo and is on pace to etch her name in Pueblo’s record books. What makes her special is her versatility — she can score at all three levels and does it efficiently. Her offensive consistency and competitive edge make her one of the most potent scorers in Arizona.

She is the current 5A Offensive Player of the Year in Arizona. She is deadly accurate from 3-point range and she can hit from well beyond the arc. She has very good handles and she can create scoring opportunities at will. She is long for a Shooting Guard, so on defense she can give smaller guards fits. She has picked up several College offers over the summer and she will be looking to get Pueblo that elusive State Title in 2025/26.

Cazares is probably the most potent scorer in the state. She showed her ability to go on long scoring runs by herself. Her quick release means that defenders have to play her close. When they do that, she can put the ball on the floor and create for herself or her teammates.

She is one of the most decorated players in Southern Arizona girls basketball history. The 3 year Varsity starter has amassed over 2,200 career points, been named Region Player of the Year twice, and All Region all 3 years. She has been to two Final 4’s , falling in the State Title Game her freshman year by 3 points. She is the best 3 point shooting guard I have seen in several years. She has a very quick release and she can hit consistently beyond the high school line. I personally saw her score 49 points in a game against a good Ironwood Ridge team last November. She will be at the Nike TOC in Las Vegas on July 11-14th, and HyperHoops Nationals on July 25th-27th. Cazares will be an absolute steal for whatever college pulls the trigger on her.

She already has over 2,200 points, and still has her Senior year left. She had a solid Showcase, hitting several 3’s, and defending some of the top players that attended. America is the best 3 point shooter I’ve seen in my 12 years in high school basketball in Arizona. She can catch and shoot under pressure, she can hit 3’s off the dribble or step-back, and she can hit in clutch moments in big-time games. I personally saw her score 49 points in a HS game vs. Ironwood Ridge last season, a playoff team with some very good players. America’s recruiting is starting to heat up.

America is a scorer deluxe, and she had moments where she seemed like she couldn’t miss. If she wasn’t out leading the fast break, she was pulling jumpers from well behind the three-point line. Her quick release made it difficult for defenders to get a feel of what she was going to do.

She is the type of player that if she gets on a roll, she can score 40 + points.
