Last weekend we had the Wisconsin Prospect Camp, which took place last Sunday in Stoughton. Plenty of talent was in the gym, especially in the 2026 and 2025 classes. Today, I’d like to highlight a few Gamechangers from the event. That term is versatile and used for kids who do different things, but when I say it, I mean kids who bring a quality to the game that is levels above anyone on the floor.
Natalie Backhaus Natalie Backhaus 6'0" | PF Wisconsin Dells | 2026 State WI
The Wisconsin Dells forward had the best vision of anyone in the gym on Sunday. She was dropping some bounce passes that drew some oohs and ahhs and made those passes look routine. Backhaus did an excellent job of surveying the floor on the catch and made good decisions with the ball in her hands. Backhaus also made some difficult shots in the paint. She was strong with the ball and consistent when she attacked the basket.
Jasmin Heuer Jasmin Heuer 5'10" | SF Fall Creek | 2026 State WI
The Fall Creek wing plays like a maniac but in the best way possible. Heuer won’t give up on any play before the whistle and made some hustle plays that didn’t make sense. She’s one of the best rebounding wing players I’ve seen and has improved her offensive game over the last 12 months. I’m also a big fan of her intensity on the defensive end. She takes plenty of pride on that end of the floor, and it shows.
Brooklyn Love Brooklyn Love 5'5" | PG Dominican | 2026 State WI
Nobody had a quicker first step than the Dominican guard on Sunday. She exploded past her initial defenders and made acrobatic finishes around the rim. I loved how well she finished around taller defenders around the basket. Love has plenty of poise in her game and has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. She’s always a threat to beat her initial defender and put pressure on the rim. It takes multiple defenders to slow her down. Over the next three years in AAU and at Dominican, she’ll give opposing coaches headaches trying to figure out how to keep her out of the paint.
Ava Brandenburg Ava Brandenburg 5'10" | CG Evansville | 2024 State WI
The Evansville wing made every aspect of the game. She made everything look like it was in slow motion and made the right decision with the ball every time down the floor. She made difficult shots, got her teammates involved, communicated with kids she barely knew or didn’t know before Sunday, and got her team rolling.
