<p> Standout forward [player_tooltip player_id='194411' first='Kendall' last='Puryear'] of Blue Springs South has given a commitment to Purdue University. The 6'2" Puryear made her announcement on her social medial account on Saturday. Puryear is currently the No. 3 player in the Prep Girls Hoops Missouri Class of 2024 rankings.</p>

<p> Puryear was pursued by several Power 5 programs around the country. She wound up choosing the Boilermakers over schools such as Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Cincinnati. She is a skilled power forward who is capable of dominating in the paint with her physical strength and shooting touch around the basket.</p>

<p> Puryear just completed her junior season, where she averaged 16.4 points and 9.6 rebounds while shooting 59 percent from the field. As a sophomore, she played a big role in the Wildcats advancing to the Final Four of the Class 6 state tournament. She averaged nine points and eight rebounds a game in helping South to a third-place finish.</p>
