My Notebook- Key Players from D2 Championship!

Let's take a look at my notes from this matchup! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Northwest:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Northwest did a great job showing patience on the offensive end. They went into halftime keeping it close, only down 6 points, and this was with only a total of 5 rebounds! The 2nd half was big, particularly for <strong>Ashley Cudnik</strong>, <strong>Ashlyn Stark</strong>, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='360800' first='Lily' last='Bottomley']</strong>. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#3 Ashley Cudnik:</strong> After a slow 1st half, she came out in the 2nd half knocking down some big shots that kept the team close, hitting 2 three-point buckets. She finished with 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. I love how reliable her hands are, and her ability to make difficult shots inside, often being double teamed. She connnected on her shots well, shooting 50%, with 19 points, to go along with 4 assists and 6 boards. That's exactly what happened in the 2nd half, where <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='316711' first='Jayda' last='Mosley']</strong> and <strong>Trinity Small</strong> gave the team a huge lift by knocking down 3's. Their defense also turned up a few notches, where <strong>Dee Alexander</strong> anticipated passes, and took off for easy transition buckets. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='451570' first='Ky'Aira' last='Miller'] </strong>however, WOW- she played so strong, from start to finish! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#2 Dee Alexander:</strong> There are so many words that come to mind when I think of Dee. Explosive, Dominating, WOW, Showtime! Just a special player with a unique gift/ talent that will take her to many high levels of basketball! Ohio Ms. Basketball finished with a double double- 20 points, 10 boards. Her free-throws were beyond impressive, shooting 13-14 from the charity stripe! She drew 10 fouls! Outstanding defense, and ball control. Mosley hit 2 key three's in the 2nd half, giving the team a huge boost of momentum! Only a freshman, she just naturally lets the game come to her. I loved her shot selection, and but even more so, her defense! She was hungry for rebounds, which gave the team 2nd chance opportunities to score.
