Continue ReadingI added some other new faces from Day 2 yet I didn’t know who Kilani Algere, above, (Level Up 15U) showed me power in the paint as well as the “DROP STEP” so I was off and running from that alone. So were these NEW FACES on Day 2
Raelyn Jackson (League City Sharks) 2026
Jackson is an athletic guard that uses her athleticism well on both ends. She falls into that “never takes a play-off” type of player because her defense is smothering at times. She also goes after loose balls and attacks the basket strongly with a very nice first step
Audrina Silva (League City Sharks) 2026
Silva is long and athletic and I see GOLD in her future, you probably didn’t catch that, nevertheless, she catches everything whether it’s playing the passing lane or in the paint offensively. She attacks the basket and scores with either hand, dropped mid to long-range jumpers, and has good timing. Factor in that she also rebounds on both ends and plays solid defense
Kennedy Farrell (League City Sharks) 2026
Farrell showed good court vision in the set as well as in the open court and her “on the money” passes in traffic in transition tell me a lot about what’s coming. She also created her shot in the set, her deceptive first stop enabled her to attack the basket but she also dropped the jumper
Cam Matthews (Houston Queens 15U) 2026
Matthews is “long and athletic” and please remember that is the base. She scored off the dribble, the first step is nice but she also showed the pull-up jumper. She did a good job defensively and played the passing lane
Adora McAfee (Houston Queens 15U) 2026
McAfee showed the skyscraper jumper numerous times but her release is quick and fluid, she even gave me the “catch and shoot” while being defended. She also scored off the dribble, finished after contact, and played solid defense
Alaysia Cook Alaysia Cook 5'8" | CG Thomas Randle | 2025 State TX (Houston Dream) 2025
Cook had the right recipe as she was a nightmare to defend. Her body control off the dribble was nice, the first step sat that up, but she also created her shot and knocked it down under pressure. The pull-up jumper, and the catch-and-shoot, were on full display but her “on the ball” defense and playing the passing lane spoke volumes
Angela Schuchardt (Pure Pressure) 2024
Schuchardt sure sent me several messages starting with she’s “long and athletic” and watching her come out of nowhere playing the passing lane was nice, and so was her attacking the basket from wherever she wanted. She finished after contact, rebounded, and defended
Ania Stone (D5 Solid 16U) 2024
Stone is a tough, long, and athletic guard, she has UPS, and battles for rebounds, well she goes after everything off the rim and floor, but she brings it both ends. Her smothering defense creates turnovers, she also scored off the dribble as well as with the jumper
Iyanna Warren (D5 Solid 16U) 2024
Warren was on the long and athletic commission, you won’t catch that either but her timing was exciting as she swatted shots as well as gave the offensive player something to think about. Her power inside the paint and mid-range jumper was nice, plus she rebounded
Mira Hubbard (D5 Solid 16U) 2024
Hubbard is an athletic guard that had no problem diving on the floor for loose balls. She too has good timing and came away with some steals using her hands or playing the passing lane but she defended “on the ball” and scored “off the dribble”
Kaylei Armstrong (Level Up 17U) 2024
Armstrong falls into that #sizedontmatter hashtag I love to use, why asked the novice, because she can play. She opened things up from deep, and I’m talking “catch and shoot” with range. She also has the HEZ to attack the basket and her body control enables her to finish after contact. Nice court vision as well
Emori LaSalle (Level Up 17U) 2024
LaSalle is a “long and athletic” guard and I enjoyed her creating her shot under pressure. The midrange is nice, she elevates on her jumper, but she also elevates attacking the basket, with solid body control for her some “and one” opps. Good “on the ball” defense and she played the passing lane
