Lyla Shelton Lyla Shelton 5’7″ | CG Nazareth Academy | 2026 State IL is light on her feet and knows her role. Pushing the ball up the court with ease, she shoots from the arc or drives in the paint. She scores in transition running the floor with command. She prevents her opponents from scoring on fast breaks. The freshman has a high ceiling. She plays on the state championship Nazareth team and playing on Mac Irvin will only improve her game.
Coming off a successful run to the state championship tournament didn’t slow Hefel down. The junior guard does a stellar job weaving through traffic to get to the basket to pass or score. Constantly observing the court, she sees the floor well making passes under the rim to her teammates for the best possible scoring opportunity. She is also a classic scorer, pulling up for a smooth jump shot, shooting from the arc or taking it all the way to the basket.

Taylor Burcham Taylor Burcham 5’6″ | CG Galena | 2024 IL , the shooting guard from Galena, showed the stuff that helped her team to the state championship series today. While she can play both guard spots, she excels in the shooting space. She puts the ball near the basket either by driving to the hoop or showing off her perimeter shot. She takes her time choosing the best shot for the situation and her field goal percentage skyrockets because of it.
Roya definitely uses her length to her advantage. She uses her height to cause deflections on defense and grab rebounds.
