Clemmons is fundamental combo guard with good court sense and consistent production. She was named “most productive player” for her team in the state championship game, where they squeaked out a narrow two point victory against a loaded Johnston Dragons teams. In that game she knocked down all her open shots off rotation, played aggressive defense and showed that she is a competitor. Clemmons appears on this list at #35 with the opportunity to move up a decent amount over the next year if she keeps up her currently play-style. She can do some really good things and has proven that when on the biggest stage in the state she will produce results, helping lead her team to victory.
Alli Clark Alli Clark 5’7″ | CG Iowa City-Regina | 2024 State IA has been a big piece for the Iowa City-Regina Regals over the past two seasons on their way to the state playoff. Clark, a nicely sized combo guard, is really a play-maker when her team needs it. She isn’t labeled as just as shooter or just an inside presence on the offensive end but more of a swiss-army knife, in the sense that she can give you production in a number of different ways. If we aren’t talking about scoring the ball she also does a good job in a plethora of different areas on the floor, such as rebounding, defending the perimeter, and creating for others when she can’t get a clean look at the basket herself. Clark joins the 2024 rankings at #54. She will look to move up this list during this AAU season with her All Iowa Attack team, something that is do-able if she keeps up her consistent production on the floor no matter her competition.
Bliss Beck Bliss Beck 6’0″ | C Clear Creek Amana | 2024 State IA gets overshadowed on the high school team she plays on just because of how good their roster is. With that being said Beck is a name to know in the 2024 class at the post position. She is a 6’1 center with the ability to spread the floor. She is on a high school team with a number of highly ranked players in their perspective classes here in Iowa but still shows that she can put up good numbers on a consistent basis. During her junior season Beck averaged 10.3 PPG, and 6.7 RPG on the way to an overall 18-5 record with a state appearance. Most importantly, on those 10.3 PPG she shot an average of just over 62% from the field, giving her the highest shooting percentage in the 2024 class last season. For a college program out there looking for an athletic big who is solid with the ball in her hands and can move really well, Beck could be the help you’re looking for over the next few seasons after she graduates.
Jaidyn Sellers Jaidyn Sellers 5’11” | PF Panorama | 2024 State IA is an interest prospect when looking at the big picture of things. She possesses size and length at 5’11, while being a dominating force on the floor and especially near the basket. Her basketball skill accompanied with her size gives her a natural advantage over opponents and that showed a good amount again this past season for her Panoroma high school team. On the way to a 22-3 record along with a state appearance, Sellers almost averaged a double-double with 13.2 PPG and 9.5 RPG. Impressive numbers to say the least. Looking forward I expect Sellers to have a nice spring leading into summer ball. She will return for her senior season at Panoroma with another really good shot of making it back to the state tournament for a third straight season. Hopefully this time ending in a state championship behind her play and the play of some other key pieces returning to their roster.
