When you hear about the CCA Clippers, you don’t usually hear about their Center in the Middle, Bliss Beck Bliss Beck 6'0" | C Clear Creek-Amana | 2024 State IA but I think that she was as much of a factor this season, as any other prospect on their roster has been. Beck is their presence in the paint. She stands at 6’0 and plays the true center position a majority of the time. Within a program that has a good amount of collegiate level talent when it comes to this sport, Beck still did a great job of showing up whenever they needed it the most. Whether thats her scoring off of a post feed or creating a stop under the hoop against other smaller opponents. It doesn’t matter. You know that each night that Beck took the floor, she was going to make something happen and that was the same this past week during their Championship run. Everyone showed out and because of it, the Clippers are now the new 4A State Champions of 2024. An accomplishment I’m sure they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Bliss Beck Bliss Beck 6'0" | C Clear Creek-Amana | 2024 State IA is competitive. It doesn’t matter what she is doing, you can tell that Beck wants to win and will help her teammates out in anyway to make that happen. When I have seen her compete on the basketball court the past few seasons, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by her production. Beck stands at 6’0 and moves quickly down the floor. She is coordinated and displays balanced footwork on most possessions in the paint. Not to mention, that defensively she has some length to get consistent blocks on opposing players that are driving toward the rim. This season CCA will bring back a loaded roster. They should coast most of the season but in big games, against teams that play at a State level, everyone will need to step up. In those situations, Beck will be called upon to produce and if she can do that, their team will be VERY hard to stop in the long run.

Bliss Beck Bliss Beck 6'0" | C Clear Creek-Amana | 2024 State IA gets overshadowed on the high school team she plays on just because of how good their roster is. With that being said Beck is a name to know in the 2024 class at the post position. She is a 6’1 center with the ability to spread the floor. She is on a high school team with a number of highly ranked players in their perspective classes here in Iowa but still shows that she can put up good numbers on a consistent basis. During her junior season Beck averaged 10.3 PPG, and 6.7 RPG on the way to an overall 18-5 record with a state appearance. Most importantly, on those 10.3 PPG she shot an average of just over 62% from the field, giving her the highest shooting percentage in the 2024 class last season. For a college program out there looking for an athletic big who is solid with the ball in her hands and can move really well, Beck could be the help you’re looking for over the next few seasons after she graduates.

getting so much attention in the middle of the floor and basically all game, Beck has found her moments to step in and make a big impact on both sides of the floor. There are lot of moments in basketball that have to do with timing, knowing when to to step into certain spots compared to not to, knowing when to be aggressive, stuff like that. Beck has done a terrific job of stepping up when Ava becomes double or triple teamed. Giving this Clippers team another big time player down low in the paint area and making this group extremely hard to plan against defensively. They can just kill you from so many angles. With Beck it’s all about showing up and playing her game like she has all season long. Something very do-able for the junior. This will give the Clips a big edge in their QF matchup against the Comets.
