Bree McDonald Bree McDonald 5'6" | PG Burlington | 2025 State New E , 5’5 PG – Burlington High School Class of 2025
Bucket! The three-level scoring PG put together some big nights this past winter, earning herself a spot on the highly acclaimed Metro First Team and Dream Dozen list. Bree picks defenses apart with her shifty handle, able to get to her spots and rise up for 3s, mid-range jumpers, and paint finishes. Plus, she has the vision and passing to make plays when the defense collapses. In addition, McDonald provides good ball pressure and can get out in a hurry. Whole lotta game with Bree.
Sabine Brueck, 5’8 G – North Country Union High School Class of 2025
Sabine is Vermont’s Gatorade POY, a D2 State Champ, and a two-time Dream Dozen honoree, yet it feels like she’s just getting started. Brueck plays with the grit, focus, and unselfishness of a glue player yet she puts up star numbers. Sabine is certainly the best defender in her class and she rebounds as well as anyone from the perimeter. Plus, she’s highly efficient on offense. She’s a skillful and intent slasher and she knocks down the 3. Yet, she doesn’t dominate the ball, instead, she makes the basketball play 9 times out of 10. What a talent.
Macie Stagner Macie Stagner 5'7" | CG Springfield | 2025 State New E , 5’8 G – Springfield High School Class of 2025
A two-time Dream Dozen recipient and a do-it-all combo-guard, Macie contributes in many ways. Stagner is a defender who’s always on the prowl. She’s anticipatory with quick footwork, often disrupting offenses as she gets in passing lanes and pressures the ball out of SHS’ zone. Then offensively, she occupies multiple roles as a facilitator and primary scorer. Macie makes a ton of plays in transition, can take smaller guards into the post, or knockdown jumpers at any level. A not-so-hidden gem in D2.
Cassidy Kittredge, 5’11 G/W – St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 2025
With considerable size and length, Kittredge is a matchup nightmare. She guards 1-3 with the wingspan to bother shots while staying in front of drivers with her foot speed. Moreover, she rebounds at a pretty good rate from the wing and has coast-to-coast ability with her natural handle. Additionally, Cassidy can score at all three-levels, most efficiently off the catch. Kittredge was a key piece to St. J’s D1 Finals run, understandably so.
Lauren Vaughan, 6’1 F – Champlain Valley Union High School Class of 2025
A defensive dynamo, Lauren showed she can play an assortment of roles at a high level. I’ve seen Lauren play the wing in 1-3-1 trapping zones one play, then defend strong post players in single coverage with smart interior defense the next time down. Plus, Vaughan puts in a ton of work on the glass, boxing out consistently and pursuing the ball. Offensively she’s still a little raw, but she’s shown flashes of heady post work all-around the paint for finishes and feeds. The coachable, high IQ D1 Champ made a significant impact all year.
