As we transition from the high school season to the grassroots season, I wanted to take the time to highlight a handful of players from around the state who I would like to check in on early this Spring. Now, I realize this isn’t “everyone”, and there might be better prospects out there, but for one reason or another I am anxious to see these young ladies in action in March and April. This specific article will focus on six centers, two each from 2024, 2025, and 2026.

, 2024, 6-2 C, Goshen H.S.
– Kyra continues to get better and better each year. She has a strong frame, good length at her size, and she is skillful. She is willing to be physical around the rim, but she is great in the mid-post, and she can step outside and knock down the occasional 3-pointer.

, 2024, 6-3 C, Maconaquah H.S.
– Lauryn has always been intriguing to me, but she has unfortunately missed some time due to a 2022 knee injury. She will reportedly be back and ready to go this Spring, so I’m anxious to see her back in action. She has nice skill and physical ability to work with.

Corydon Central | 2025
State
IN
, 2025, 6-0 C, Corydon Central H.S.
– Alyssa provided a nice interior presence for Corydon this season, as they made it to the Class 3A State Finals. She has solid strength, nice length, and she moves well in most directions. She’s probably developing into more of a forward than a post at this point.

Lawrence North | 2025
State
IN
, 2025, 6-1 C, Lawrence North H.S.
– Jamaya is a big, strong, physical frontline presence. She plays with a solid motor, she has good hands, and her footwork has improved a great deal over the years. I really like how she seeks contact, and she understands how to finish over taller/longer players.

Noblesville | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 6-1 C, Noblesville H.S.
– “C.C.” saw some opportunity this year for a very good Noblesville squad. She has tremendous length, a wiry-strong frame, and she moves well in most directions. She also plays with a nice motor, shows some touch in the mid-post, and she doesn’t mind contact.
Katie Reed

Washington | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 6-1 C, Washington H.S.
– Katie is a strong, physical, but skillful and fairly athletic frontline prospect who saw a lot of immediate action on a young Washington team. She has good hands, finishes well around the basket, but she also has shown some touch and ability in the mid-post.
