As we transition from the high school season to the grassroots season, I wanted to take the time to highlight a handful of players from around the state who I would like to check in on early this Spring. Now, I realize this isn’t “everyone”, and there might be better prospects out there, but for one reason or another I am anxious to see these young ladies in action in March and April. This specific article will focus on six power forwards, two each from 2024, 2025, and 2026.

– Ever since I first saw Tia in 7th Grade, she flashed a high ceiling, and it seems like this year she has started to figure it all out. Tia was crucial inside at times for the Lady Panthers this year, and I can’t wait to watch the long, bouncy athlete play with her
Always 100
group.

– I feel like each year Mia comes into the Spring a little stronger, much more confident, and she has added to or improved something about her skillset. This year she averaged 12.5 ppg and 6.9 rpg, and she shot 44% from 3-point range. She is with
Indiana Elite
Lightning.

, 2025, 6-0 PF, Westville H.S.
– Andrea is someone I’m not terribly familiar with, as she hasn’t been a grassroots participant in the past, but she will reportedly suit up for City Elite this Spring. She has posted solid high school statistics the last two years, so I would like to see her as soon as possible.

, 2025, 6-0 PF, Northview H.S.
– Brynlee had a nice year for the Lady Knights, averaging 12.8 ppg, while also stepping out and knocking down 21 3-pointers. I have not gotten to see her in-person, so I’m anxious to see how she fairs against grassroots competition with her
Indiana Elite Havoc
team.

, 2026, 6-0 PF, Evansville Central H.S.
– Maddy is a highly skilled, fundamental front-liner, who is transitioning from playing with her back to the basket throughout her youth, to becoming more of a face-up, mid-post kid now. She had a strong Winter, and I want to see her in grassroots ball again soon.
Hannah Stepp

West Vigo | 2026

, 2026, 5-9 PF, West Vigo H.S.
– Hannah was a really nice prospect last Summer, and if she’s anything like her older sister, she should only continue to grow and improve her perimeter skillset. Hannah has nice length, fluid athleticism, and she’s skilled facing the basket to near the 3-point line.
