Both teams showed up to compete, which is always a nice situation. Each team featured some unsigned prospects that are talented enough to play at the next level. The county all-stars won a close game, so let’s take a look at some of the top performers.
Maniya Simon, 2023, Eastern Tech, 5’5″ Guard
Maniya is a scoring guard that can play some point guard as well. She is quick with strong ball handling skills and a knack for finishing through contact. She has a decent perimeter shot and makes accurate passes. On defense she has good footwork and is able to stay in front of ball handlers.
Brooke Parker, 2023, Carver Center, 6’0″ Center
This was my first time seeing Brooke and I think she will be nice gem for a DII or DIII program. She is raw, but super athletic and strong. She is scrappy in the paint and has a nice touch. She rotates well on defense and crashes the boards.
Serafina Stubbs, 2023, Owings Mills, 5’10”, Power Forward
Serafina is an under the radar prospect that can help a DII or DIII program right away. She is physically strong and sets really good picks. She is a strong rebounder and seeks out contact. She does a lot of things that do not show up on a stat sheet. She is a confident offensive player and if she improves her ball handling she will be a steal for someone’s program.
Taylor Addison Taylor Addison 5'8" | SG Baltimore Poly | 2023 State MD , 2023, Poly, 5’10”, Guard
Taylor single handedly kept the City in the game, leading a late rally that fell just short. She used her length and lateral quickness on defense to force turnovers and knocked a few three pointers on her way to taking home the MVP award for her team. She is sorting through a few offers.
Unique Santiago, 2023, Carver, 5’5″ Guard
I like the energy that Unique brought to the game. She is a real pest on defense, harrassing ball handlers full court and making hustle plays everywhere. She has excellent speed and attacks the basket relentlessly.
