If we asked a team to nominate a player from their squad for All Tournament.. there’s no doubt Sami’s team would’ve voted her. Countless times through her games, Sami was the go to basket getter for her team. She played each possession with energy and hustle. I have a different type of respect for bigs because of the consistent battle that they have to deal with on the block. Oller powered through it all, and remained a constant overall threat in each game.

Henderson truly just gets better in each game that she plays. Her progression has been great and her ability to adapt to the new style of the game is apparent too. Amaya has always been a force to deal with on the defensive side (3+ blocks in each game), but its her offense that has taken a leap! She knocked down some threes, and has sped up her moves on the low block. She’s figuring out how to use her length efficiently and effectively. The potential and upside are limitless and high for Henderson.. and I truly believe she’s coming into her own.

This is my first time seeing Jackson in person.. and this kid is going to be special. Her energy and confidence stuck out to me first.. and it is contagious. On every play she cheered up her teammates, on the very few mistake she made, she was adamant about taking full responsibility and letting her team and coach know that she’ll make up for it. Offensively… Jackson can handle the ball, score at all three levels, run the offense and can thread the needle on a pinpoint pass like no other. On the opposite side, she is no different. Locked in, aggressive and ready for it all.

One of the bigger guards in the building this past weekend. Sofia is your three level scoring machine with tons of moves, and the floor confidence to back it up. She’s built strong and she showed that on multiple possessions during her games. Wether the shots were falling or not, she was persistent on finding other ways to get the W. She can score with the best of them, run the floor with the best of them and defend the best of them. A for sure top guard in her class.

If you run back the clips from this past weekend, you’ll see tons of creativity when attacking the rim, and the confidence to shoot the deep.. deep ball. If the audio is working, you’ll hear tons of “Oooo’s and screams”, when she made those highlight plays. Lana defines position-less basketball… she’s built like a post but can play as your primary guard. She can be a combo guard, a true wing, or a stretch post. She adapts to what’s needed on the court, and this weekend was no different. She put buckets on the board from all levels, she switched and guarded multiple positions, and still had enough in the tank to facilitate the offense when it was crucial.
