Jaelyn Hagee
Jaelyn Hagee
Jaelyn Hagee had a productive game offensively. She had 19 points and knocked down 3 of her 4 three-pointers. She brought in 7 rebounds and was good defensively, which was the theme for Carroll County. Jaelyn scored her 1000th point tonight, too, so congratulations on that achievement.
Alyssa Ervin Alyssa Ervin 5’10” | SG Carroll County HS | 2024 State VA put up another gem against Brentsville, and it started on the defensive side of the ball. She had 8 steals, which resulted in her getting several easy buckets. What impressed me the most about what Alyssa did was her defense on Brentsville star guard Alden Yergey Alden Yergey 5’9″ | SG Brentsville | 2023 State VA . She took ownership in shutting Yergey down, and it was very impressive. She finished with 29 points and 8 rebounds to go along with her 8 steals, and her play over the past week has helped her stock skyrocket.
Lauren Alley
Lauren Alley
Carroll County owned the glass today, and it started with Lauryn Alley. She was a monster on the boards, hauling in 13 rebounds, 6 offensive. She was great at the free throw line and helped set the tone for Carroll County’s physical dominance. She contributed 15 points for a monster double-double.
The biggest reason Carroll County won by so much was what they did defensively. They forced Brentsville into many live ball turnovers, which made the game so lopsided. They finished with 33 points off turnovers, and Kalee Easter Kalee Easter 5’4″ | PG Carroll County | 2023 State VA played a significant role. She had 5 steals and was a hound on defense. She had 4 assists and only 1 turnover and put in 9 points.
Freshman guard Payton Brown Payton Brown 5’7″ | CG Brentsville District | 2026 VA was the lone bright spot for Brentsville. For a freshman, she was composed and was one of the only players not rattled by Carroll County’s high press and physicality. She sunk 3 of her 5 three-pointers and finished with 11 points, which led the team.
