was steady the whole day. She is an excellent spot-up shooter and showed that. She knocked down a handful of catch-and-shoot threes and showed off her offensive bag. Payton had a few plays where she hit a mid-range or drove to the bucket to get a lay-in. Payton is a high-IQ player and doesn’t force shots. This was a good showing for the Brentsville district guard.

had two nice games this week to lead Brentsville District to a 2-0 week. Against Millbrook, Payton showed off her shooting ability, knocking down four threes and finishing with 18 points. Payton also had a nice game rebounding, finishing with seven. Payton is a fantastic shooter and has a green light. She does most of her damage as a scorer from three and has taken a big jump this year.
