Faith Walder Faith Walder 5'5" | PG West De Pere | 2025 State WI
You’ll find few kids who utilize their “off-hand” more than Walder, and she’s equally as effective with her left as she is with her right. I rarely see her make mistakes defensively because she’s comfortable using both hands under pressure. She’s as steady as they come with the ball in her hands, and watching her finish with her left hand is art.
Julia Wolf Julia Wolf 5'10" | CG Milton | 2025 State WI
The Milton product isn’t talked about much during the high-school season because she’s not playing on a conference-contending team in the Badger Conference, but she’s a solid all-around player. She’s strong and skilled, shoots the ball well, finishes around the rim, and she’s an intelligent defender. Wolf is a diligent worker off the floor, and she’s only improved and will continue to do so over the next few seasons.
Olivia Witkowski Olivia Witkowski 6'0" | PF Weyawega-Freemont | 2025 State WI
Witkowski is another kid I don’t get to see during the season because of where Weyawega-Fremont is in the state. However, I loved what she was able to do on the defensive end last summer. She’s a 6-0 athlete that can switch out and defend on the perimeter, and you don’t have to worry about her. Witkowski can defend well around the rim and create extra possessions with her ability to rebound on both ends of the floor.
Makenzie Hawk Makenzie Hawk 6'0" | PF Sun Prairie West | 2025 State WI
The Sun Prairie West product is another 6-0 athlete that can guard multiple positions. She’s strong, mobile, plays hard on both ends and finds the ball. Hawk’s not afraid of the challenge of defending some of the best players in the Big Eight last season, and the results were solid. Even if they weren’t, the confidence to take the best player on the other says a lot about who she is as a player.
Isabelle Freisleben Isabelle Freisleben 5'11" | PF New Berlin West | 2025 State WI
The 6-0 wing/forward brings all the versatility an offense can have in the frontcourt. Freisleben is quick enough to guard wings on the perimeter in a pinch, strong enough to defend posts, and has the vision and rebounding to jumpstart transition offense. The New Berlin West product can also stretch the floor, knock down perimeter jumpers, and score over her right shoulder in the post.
