You get a lot of exciting basketball.
That is what occurred this past weekend in Raleigh – capital city of North Carolina and home to NC State which itself is home to one of the premier women’s collegiate basketball programs in the nation.
We at Prep Girls Hoops were on hand this past weekend in downtown Raleigh for the festivities. A state as big as Texas is teeming with top-tier prospects and it was well-represented in North Carolina.

Texas Flight Elite 2026 National 15U gave SC Future 9th 15U a heavy dose of Ford in its opening matchup of the Deep South Classic. Ford had one of the more impressive performances of anyone on the first day as she led her team to an emphatic victory with a 21-point showing. A great deal of the work she does is near the rim, but she also absorbs her fair share of contact which an place her at the free throw line. The long trek from Texas did not faze this rising standout from the Lone Star State as Ford arrived in the Triangle with her balling sneakers on.
Antyiahna Lang
Antyiahna Lang
With an 11-point performance, Lang was part of the offensive onslaught Texas Flight Elite 2026 National 15U displayed in its opening game that was too much for SC Future 15U to handle. Among Lang’s overall game is the abilty to make tough shots in the midrange game and also her willingness to play defense in the perimeter. Lang will also help her team’s offensive output by drawing contact and creating opportunities at the free throw line. She had an impressive performance on the fouls portion of the scoresheet as well as Lang only had one personal foul called against her for the game.

Let Cooks cook. Cooks did plenty of that for her Texas Flight Elite 2026 National 15U team late Friday afternoon by virtue of the 12 points she placed on the scoreboard in what was a dominant victory over SC Future 15U. The team drained eight 3-pointers for the game with three of them departing from Cooks’ hands. She too will also absorb her fair share of contact and give her team opportunities at the free throw line. Cooks plays with a high basketball IQ as she can set herself in position to corral rebounds. If Cooks feels she may not haul in one off the glass, she will tip the ball to a teammate that she feels is in better position to reel in the rock.
Daniyah Lewis
Daniyah Lewis
Daniyah will not be denied. Lewis was one key cog in the well-oiled machine that was Texas Flight Elite 2026 National all weekend. One of her stellar showings came on Saturday against Fencor Andrea 9th 15U. Lewis possesses a 3-point shot as part of her overall offensive arsenal. She also excels well in the transition game. Lewis will display impressive ball handling skills and can deliver accurate shots in the midrange game as well. She is tough for teams to handle when she is set in the defensive interior as she is a consistent threat to block shots as she fuses together both height and length.
Audrey Richardson
Audrey Richardson
She wears No. 1 on the court and is no. 1 in the hearts of many fans who eat, sleep, live and breathe Phoenix Select 2027 14U basketball. The rising star for the Texas-based grassroots assembling had a banner game in a hard-fought contest against 3SSB Team Elite 13U out of Georgia. Richardson finished with 13 points and was a consistent scorer throughout a great portion of the game. In addition, Richardson proved that she is as much a defensive stalwart as she is one on the offensive end with rebounds and blocks. Richardson will also receive inbounds passes near the basket and immediately convert them into two more points.
Cora Maley
Cora Maley
One of the numbers Maley wears on her Phoenix 2027 14U jersey is five and she put together a performance that is certainly worth the same number of stars. No. 51 scored 10 points – including six in the second half of play to will her Austin-based team to a victory over Georgia-based 3SSB Team Elite 13U. With the contact that she manages to absorb, it is sure to ive her plenty of chances near the free throw line. Her height gives her a notable advantage especially in terms of making plays near the rim. The positioning she gets near the basket enables her to be the recipient of creative passes which allow her to complete plays.
Katelyn Olds
Katelyn Olds
t may have been an seven-point performance for Olds, but Phoenix 2027 14U needed all of those eight points as they were locked in a hard-fought contest with Georgia-based 3SSB Team Elite 13U for 32 minutes. Olds displays her youth and toughness with her willingness to fall to the floor if it means completing a play. If she has the ball with an opportunity to convert on a 3-point opportunity, she is likely to take those opportunities given the high possibility it will result in three (or even four) more points. Out of those seven points, she placed five of those seven on the scoreboard in the first half of action.
