Ford’s last name used to jokingly be used as an acronym, Fixed Or Repaired Daily, yet seeing what she has done for her high school and club teams over the years has FIXED OR REPAIRED whatever issues or needs her squads were lacking, DAILY in games. I gotta drop the #THROWBACK on her for doing what she’s able to do at her size because players like that used to be abundant yet not anymore as “you won’t outwork her” see evaluations here

Ford plays taller than she is and reminds me of how abundant that was when I first got into this, so let me drop #THROWBACK for that alone. She also falls into that “you won’t outwork me” group, and seeing her BATTLE for everything off the rim on both ends, as well as finishing strongly against taller players, are things that helped her school jump out to a big start and will be in the mix to make a deep run see evaluations here

Ford has been one of the best players I have personally seen this season, and watching her do things at her size inside the paint will always get my #THROWBACK hashtag. The Tarleton State signee has gone over 1500 points, yet she’s also one of the reasons her high school is on my short list of representing the region in the playoffs, see evaluations here

Ford missed the opening game of the event as she was under the weather, but she was doing what she does the rest of the way to help her team reach the finals and come up just shy of the victory. Watching her do what she does at her size is #THROWBACK because she not only rebounds and scores against taller players, she’s overpowering around the basket. She scored off the dribble, hit the pull-up, and played solid defense

Ford went coast to coast several times to score after rebounding, yet her explosiveness both off the dribble as well as around the basket, getting up off the ground to score over taller players, was all impressive. She also created her shot and dropped the jumper, defense created turnovers, yet her saving the ball from going out of bounds and throwing it behind her back in one motion for an assist was my highlight of the day

Her physicality sets the tone on both ends of the floor, giving her team extra possessions and a serious edge in scrappy situations. Ford was off the chain and watching her do what she did inside the paint at her size gets her the #THROWBACK. I often say “You can’t teach DESIRE” and she will not be outworked as she went AFTA everything off the rim. She also finished powerfully and did a good job applying “on the ball” pressure

Ford was one of the standouts at the Houston Christian Camp a couple of seasons ago see evaluation here. Yet, I hadn’t seen her due to the numerous platforms all over the place and club teams refusing to turn in rosters yet my PGH Texas colleague @playerrimedies gave me several updates and video links. Her tenacity on defense is even better, and so is her attacking and scoring yet her court vision is also creating some problems
