We were able to catch a lot of good games from players across the southeast competing against one another as they dive into their travel basketball seasons. The following athletes showed how they can be assets on many different areas of the court.
Janiah Shular Janiah Shular 6’0″ | SF 1 of 1 Prep | 2024 NC continues to show some versatility on the court getting inside to rebound and post up as well as bringing the ball up the court to run an offense. She can block shots leading to steals for her team and hustle down the court ready for the transition jumper for two. She scores on all levels being able to knock down her shot from deep or attack the basket making some nice adjustments at the rim.
Tamia Darden Tamia Darden 5’9″ | SG South Garner | 2024 State NC showed off a range of moves pulling up for her jumpers and attacking the basket. She showed her versatility on defense, too, blocking shots in the paint. She moves well without the ball attacking the gaps and being ready to pull the trigger as she elevates for her jumper.

India Smith India Smith 5’10” | SF Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC followed shots well using offensive rebounds for her own points doing a little bit of everything for her team. She showed a lot of versatility getting inside for the entry pass and working against post players. She can certainly step outside and be lethal around the perimeter as well.
Chloe Moss Chloe Moss 5’11” | PF Independence | 2024 State NC is aggressive getting inside for rebounds. She is constantly moving on the court flashing in and out of the paint, and she can certainly knock down her shot from deep. She sees the court well attacking the gaps with and without the ball, and she makes some nice long passes up the court pushing the tempo and starting transition offenses.
Kailyn Young Kailyn Young 5’9″ | CG Quality Education Academy | 2024 State NC hustled up the court scoring on a fast break through contact finishing the three point play. She sealed off her opponents and flashed to the block perfectly getting the pass and bucket. Her ability to see the openings, move to where her defender couldn’t block the pass, and catch the entry pass for some points was on display all over the court.

Laniya Scales Laniya Scales 6’2″ | SF Quality Education Academy | 2024 State NC seemed to have a defensive highlight reel on repeat stripping the ball from her opponents and scoring on fast breaks off these turnovers. She can finish at the rim or step outside to knock down her shot. She gets up high going after rebounds.

Sidney Blackwell Sidney Blackwell 5’7″ | CG Porter Ridge | 2025 State NC slides down to the block finding the opening for some points. She does a nice job anticipating passes and causing deflections. She was constantly stripping the ball from opponents even post players on the block. She grabbed a rebound and pushed it all the way to the other end for a solo fast break. She can knock down her shot from deep, too.
Oshauna Holland Oshauna Holland 5’7″ | PG Stuart Cramer | 2026 State NC was doing everything for her team from getting inside for rebounds to hustling up the court on fast breaks to finding her open teammate for the pass. She handles the ball really well, and she knows how to relocate after she passes it away to make sure she is an asset on the court being ready for the pass and some points herself. Her ability to get lost with her speed and cuts is fun to watch as she finds various ways to get open.

Jada Chambliss
Jada Chambliss was making some nice cuts to the paint and blocking shots on the other end. She was aggressive attacking the basket getting the ball from the free throw line and exploding to the hoop. She did a nice job grabbing rebounds and immediately getting the ball to her outlet to start the next play.
