I believe today will be the last time I review this past weekend's events in writing, but I'll have two articles up tonight, this being the first. I'll likely rewatch a few games on BallerTV and may have things up this next weekend regarding some kids at the Windy City Classic, but today will be the final day talking about kids I watched.

I've seen Phillips a handful of times over the past 12 months, and she's a drastically different player now than she was then. I always thought the best version of her would be on the wing, even though she played in the post last summer. This season, she looks like a wing and has some juice off the dribble. She seems more powerful and has a much more consistent jumper than I remember because of how much work she's put in. Last season, when she tried to attack off the dribble, she lost the ball a lot because she wasn't comfortable with that at the time, and even that looks better. I still don't know where she projects level-wise, but it's risen over the past year.

[player_tooltip player_id='448254' first='Savanna' last='Robinson']

Something about Robinson's game that makes her so good, and I couldn't even tell you what it is. She's got the it factor. One could argue she was a play or two and an injury to her Kaukauna team away from playing at two state tournaments in her first two seasons, and she's a massive reason why. Robinson is a rangy, quick, and talented guard who can complement any style of basketball and make her team better.

[player_tooltip player_id='842199' first='Kaia' last='Waldrop']

After I heard the news that Waldrop would be playing 17u ball for a talented Purple Aces team, I knew she'd do one thing, play physically against girls two years older than her. I love watching her play because she makes everything else work. Whether setting screens, rebounding, or setting a tone physically, Waldrop does it. I don't expect big offensive games from her this summer, but she'll make her teammates' lives easier.

[player_tooltip player_id='266995' first='Marley' last='Busch']

After a first tournament where Busch was still figuring out where she fits onto her new AAU team, I thought she did a solid job figuring out how to help her team this past weekend. The [player_tooltip player_id='266995' first='Marley' last='Busch'] you see now won't be the same one you see in July, and I think small schools should take notice of her as soon as possible.
