FIRST TEAM

(Captain) [player_tooltip player_id='153421' first='Sydney' last='Baird'], Webster County, SG, 5-8, Sr. - [player_tooltip player_id='153421' first='Sydney' last='Baird'] did everything for the Webster County Highlanders. Everything. Points. Rebounds. Assists. Blocks. You name it and she did it. Sure, it sounds impossible. There's only so much one player can do on the court, right? Wrong, especially for Baird. Powered by the belief in her teammates and herself, she steered the Highlanders to one final trip to Charleston before she leaves for West Virginia Wesleyan. Once at the state tournament, they came up just short of the state final and Baird put up a yeoman's effort, similar to what she had done all season long. On the year, she scored 31.1 points on 55% shooting, to go along with 6.5 assists, 4.7 steals, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='496329' first='Allie' last='Ellyson'], Gilmer County, CG, 5-2, So. - Gilmer County needed an offensive leader. Desperately. After losing the five starting seniors and leading scorers from last year's state runner-up, the Titans were left in dire straights. Someone had to step up and take command of the offense. In came, [player_tooltip player_id='496329' first='Allie' last='Ellyson']. With an upbeat and never-say-never attitude, the sophomore rose to the challenge. She taught a young group how to be a team. She made sure everyone was incorporated in the offense. Heck, she even piloted the Titans to another state tournament appearance. Along the way to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, she tallied 16.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.5 steals per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='153432' first='Kadie' last='Colebank'], Tucker County, PF, 6-1, Sr. - You really have to hand it to [player_tooltip player_id='153432' first='Kadie' last='Colebank']. She made changes in the offseason and then made them stick when the school year began. She really took her senior year seriously. There were zero games in which the power forward didn't have a huge effect. She blocked. She scored. She assisted. She even got a few steals. Yes, oh, yes. In total, her efforts amounted to 16.9 points, on 60% shooting, 12.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.9 blocks per contest.

Ashlynn Van Tassell, Cameron, C, 6-3, Jr. - This Cameron Dragon certainly breathed fire. All year long. Flames about as tall as her erupted from her game as Cameron grabbed a second-straight state championship. Even [player_tooltip player_id='153432' first='Kadie' last='Colebank'] couldn't slow her down in the state title game. On the year, she averaged 19.5 points on 54% shooting, 13.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.

Ana Young, Pendleton County, CG, 5-8, Sr. - How did you stop Ana Young? That's a question Pendleton County opponents failed to answer. All season long. Game after game after game and night after night after night. No matter what they did, she was better. If you aimed to stop her long range game, she went to the boards for her points. If you tried to take away her short range game, you'd be hit with her transition attack. If you focused too much on her, she'd get the ball to her teammates enough to keep your group from fully focusing on her. Just look at her stats - 28 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and four steals per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='379481' first='Abby' last='McDonough'], Doddridge County, SG, 5-8, Sr. - Doddridge County won't be the same without [player_tooltip player_id='379481' first='Abby' last='McDonough']. Not. Ever. Again. So much of her personality, heart and understanding have been poured from her into her Bulldogs' group the last few years, it is a wonder she has any of it all left. Her name will remain on the lips and mouths of the Bulldog faithful for quite some time. Making things even more impressive, they will remember her for her unity. She certainly knew how to bring a group together. She knew when to test her girls and challenge them to score, before she brought out her guns. She made sure everyone knew their abilities, even when someone couldn't see it in themselves. I guess the easiest way to sum this up is - [player_tooltip player_id='379481' first='Abby' last='McDonough'] was the perfect teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='496349' first='Kerigan' last='Salmons'], Tolsia, SG, 5-8, Sr. - [player_tooltip player_id='496349' first='Kerigan' last='Salmons'] competed with her all. 100%. No bull. On a year where she came back from an ACL tear, she gave everything to her Tolsia Rebels. Yes, the senior compiled 17.8 points, on 41% shooting, with 1.4 assists, 4.2 boards and 2.2 steals per game.

Adyson Hines, James Monroe, PF, 5-11, Sr. - I don't know much in this crazy, crazy world. But, I do know that Adyson Hines simply brings it on the basketball court. What is it? Well, that is a good question. I suppose her "it" is a dash of her energetic spirit, mixed with a spark of lightning, and finished off with the will to be whatever her groups needs. Mix all of it into a basketball player and you have Hines. Take this past year for example, with a chance to get to the state tournament, she scored 14.9 points, on 44% shooting, with 12.9 rebounds, 3 assists, six blocks and two steals.

SECOND TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='877297' first='Kenzie' last='Clutter'], Cameron (Captain)

[player_tooltip player_id='410466' first='Autumn' last='Block'], Tolsia

Emily Gola, Doddridge County

Haley Hunnicutt, James Monroe

[player_tooltip player_id='570493' first='Ava' last='Barclay'], Greenbrier West

Trista Lester, RiverView

Haley Payne, RiverView

[player_tooltip player_id='410474' first='MacKenzie' last='Browning'], Tug Valley
