There is A TON of talent throughout the entire state and all of its classes. These are some players that jumped off the screen to me while doing some research this weekend. Enjoy!
Chloe Hanel Chloe Hanel 5’11” | CG Clarkson/Leigh | 2024 State NE is an impressive prospect when you look at her overall game play. Hanel is a lengthy combo guard with a lot of promise. She has the ability to handle and get to the hoop or create for others, is an above average rebounder, and possesses a good amount of skill highlighted by a patented Euro-step finish against her opponent. She has a high motor and shows a lot of grit out on the court. Her team high school team really applies the pressure on the defensive end of the floor and that leads to a lot of steals for Hanel, usually ending in a finish for herself. This makes a lot of sense and helped her average the 3rd most PPG, throughout the entire state of Nebraska this past season. In a nutshell Hanel is a heck of a prospect. She has size, speed, and skill along with a good head on her shoulders and an act for making things happen for her teams. All things a college coach is going to love at the next level in a few years.
Madison Abbenhaus Madison Abbenhaus 5'5" | PG Bloomfield | 2024 State NE
Madison Abbenhaus Madison Abbenhaus 5'5" | PG Bloomfield | 2024 State NE
Madison Abbenhaus Madison Abbenhaus 5’5″ | PG Bloomfield | 2024 State NE is a fast-twitch point guard that is very good on the ball defensively, leading to a lot of scoring opportunities for her and her teammates in transition. Abbenhaus is electric. She plays with a high tempo while always trying to push the ball down the floor. She displays a high IQ while having an excellent lay-up package at the rim, wether it’s through contact or not. This past high school season Madison ranked in top 5 for both total assists and steals per game, throughout all classes in the state. Showing that she is a constant producer wether she is scoring the ball at a high rate or not. This offseason Madison is going to work to keep expanding her game, trying to prove that she is one of the best overall point guards in the 2023 class that the state of Nebraska has to offer.
Zaria Townsend Zaria Townsend 5’7″ | SF Omaha Buena Vista | 2026 State NE had a game this season where she had 19 points and 20 rebounds. One of the best state line i’ve seen across three states from this past high school year. Townsend is an athletic forward who displays a ton of skill. She scores the ball at a high and consistent rate while always playing unselfishly. She also rebounds the ball consistently throughout a ball game and has some great vision down the floor when running in transition. There is a lot of promise here. A player with a high motor, great size, and a nice head on her shoulders when it comes to breaking down the game of basketball. She has three more years of high school and in those years I’m excited to see her grow into possibly top rated prospect in the state, maybe even the country.
Halle Dolliver Halle Dolliver 5'10" | CG Malcolm | 2026 State NE
Halle Dolliver Halle Dolliver 5'10" | CG Malcolm | 2026 State NE
Halle Dolliver Halle Dolliver 5’10” | CG Malcolm | 2026 State NE is going to be lighting up the court for the next few years in Nebraska. I would advise that if you are going to matchup with her that you bring two or three players because if not, it could get ugly. Dolliver is an athletic forward who can spread the floor. She has a long wingspan with a quick dribble and an efficient ability to finish at the hoop. When her teammates are shooting she does a fantastic job of rebounding the ball, putting it back up for a make or finding a teammate for another open look. She possesses great size and overall basketball skill for her age. She showed that off this season for her freshman year where she averaged 20 PPG & 8.9 RPG. This AAU season she will be playing with the Nebraska Supreme , showing off her dominance on the court all over the country.
