Spring Rankings Look-In: 2024 Power Forwards

We have also changed formats to make rankings more exclusive, therefore at this time we are ranking just 100 total players in the Class of 2024, with the rest being placed on a watchlist of 100 players. At some point in the near future, those 100 ranked spots will expand to 150. That will likely be around September 1st. In the meantime, I wanted to take this time to circle back and address all of the listed prospects, position by position. Below is a look at 38 power forward prospects who make up 19.0% of the rankings this time around, with analysis on a handful to "keep an eye on" detailed at the bottom.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- has made a huge jump over the last 12-18 months, and she put together a nice Winter season for the Lady Panthers. She has an athletic frame, strength, and she can run u0026amp; jump with just about anyone on this list. Her strength allows her to defend the post a little, as well as box out and rebound. At the same time, she can defend wings and bigger guards on the perimeter, plus she is starting to really develop a much more advanced perimeter skillset offensively.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["239348"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Mooresville is currently blessed with a few sizeable interior players, and Kalyn brings the element of physicality mixed with mid-post skill. She has the strength and athleticism to sit down and post on the block, but she prefers to play facing the basket at about 15-feet. She can knock down the midrange jumper, she can take a dribble and get to the basket, plus she's capable of defending forwards and undersized posts at all three levels. She is strong, fairly physical, and a solid all-around athlete. She can battle on the boards, defend the interior, and act as a traditional post. However, for the next level she has shown the potential to exclusively be a face-up '4' around the perimeter, or at least be a really nice inside-out '4' for an elite small college.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["326478"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Peyton is a little deceiving at first glance, because she is so strong and has such broad shoulders, you would think she's probably more of a post. She actually leans towards being more of a combo forward. She has touch around the perimeter, she can put it on the floor and attack the basket like a wing, and she can sit down and defend bigger wings. At the same time, she does have the frame to battle inside, defend, and rebound. She is so strong, she's a really nice North/South athlete, and she plays with an aggressive attitude. She's one of those risk/reward kids, because she can play on the verge of out-of-control at times, but she is also capable of making plays skillfully and athletically that other girls with her frame just can't.
