The forward position was well represented at the Triumph Region Kickoff. In this article, we look at several forwards from Florida and Georgia who stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='370059' first='Nacoya' last='Blocton'] / 2025 / PF / Ridgeview (Orange Park) / [program_tooltip program_id='714165' first='MHD' last='Elite']

Blocton (cover) continued her Stellar summer play. At the PHG Triumph, she continued to display the versatility that not many power forwards have. She does have power in her game. She has the ability to put the ball on the floor and can drive the ball to the basket. She also has a good outside shot. Blocton is a workhorse on the offensive glass When she plays on the wing, she can back an opponent down when they go to man to man. She does a good job of cutting to the basket on back door cuts and has very good hands and can catch any pass within reach. In a 20-point output, the forward attempted 8 free throws, connected on a three-pointer, and connected on 7 other baskets that included layups, midrange shots, and scores in the paint. The Sophomore also displayed her rebounding abilities and mixed it up in the paint against some formidable bigs. Blocton is just a Sophomore and plays up on a 2024 team and at times is dominant.

[player_tooltip player_id='331713' first='Nia' last='Blocton'] / 2024 / PF, C / Ridgeview (Orange Park) / [program_tooltip program_id='714165' first='MHD' last='Elite']

[player_tooltip player_id='331713' first='Nia' last='Blocton'] is one of the 2024 forwards in the State of Florida and she took the show on the road to Spartanburg. The Junior forward did not disappoint. She posted close to double-double statistics at the PGH Triumph Region and was as impressive as she has been throughout this young AAU season. In the final AAU game of the Triumph Region Kickoff, Blocton was near double digits in blocked shots and blocked at least 5 without even leaving her feet. Her skill and agility for a "big" is impressive. She runs the floor like a guard and sometimes leads the fast break like a point guard. She showcased power, speed, and amazing athletic ability at the tournament and was one of the best forwards in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='633529' first='Mia' last='Chandler'] / 2026 / PF, SF / Mandarin / [program_tooltip program_id='715416' first='Lady' last='OTOD']

Chandler was one of the youngest players in the 17U Division and she showed a lot of grit for a young player. Chandler excelled in the transition game and on defense. Offensively, she played well when facing the basket and showed she can knock down the midrange shot, especially around the free-throw area. Chandler's post-game is still developing but showed a lot of positives down on the block. Chandler did a good job battling for rebounds. She has the quickness to the ball and did get her share of offensive rebounds. At Triumph Region, the Freshman did play a few games in the 15U division and was more dominant against her peers. The future is bright for the budding Freshman.

[player_tooltip player_id='520239' first='Dailey' last='Jefferson'] / 2024 / PF / Marietta GA / [program_tooltip program_id='713624' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713452' first='FBC' last='']' last='Dynasty Elite'] 17 U

Jefferson was a standout at Triumph Region Kickoff. She had a presence down low on the blocks and knew how to get to the free-throw line. Jefferson shot 11 free throws and connected on eight of them. It wasn't just the aggressive play on the offensive end, but the Junior forward impressed on the defensive end as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='633526' first='Kamela' last='Marshall'] / 2025 / SF / Ed White ( Jacksonville) / [program_tooltip program_id='715416' first='Lady' last='OTOD']

Marshall played well at Triumph Region and showed a lot of versatility to her game. The Sophomore can handle the ball and can initiate the break or fill the lanes. Marshall played well in transition and made a lot of shots on fastbreaks. She knows how to score the basketball and has a lot of shots in her toolbox, including an impressive float game, a nice midrange shot, and a very shot behind the three-point line.

The forward position was well represented at the Triumph Region Kickoff. In this article, we look at several forwards from Florida and Georgia who stood out.
