Several players caught my eye in this division, 10 more made All-Tournament plus I'll even drop a special Simmie's Standouts after the All-Tournament selections, so be ready for the drops

[player_tooltip player_id='678716' first='Ivy' last='Powell']-5'7 G ([program_tooltip program_id='715100' first='House4Hoops' last=''] 2024) Chaparal [2025]

Powell has taken her game to another level and her progression had me smiling. She's an athletic guard that can score off the dribble, as well as from mid to long range, yet she's more under control and understands she can take defenders however she wants. Her first step sets everything up because she attacks hard and finishes after contact, but her body control is even better, and so is her court vision

Alina Martin-5'8 G ([program_tooltip program_id='712950' first='Athletic' last='Elite Basketball'] 2024) Flower Mound Marcus 2024 [2024]

Martin is another athletic guard from the event that showed explosiveness off the dribble and her finishing strongly after contact immediately grabbed my attention. She attacks and finishes with either hand but she also showed she could drop the mid to very long-range jumper. I was even more impressed with her being able to catch and shoot as well as the pressure she applied on defense

Maya Dodson (CF Attack 2024)

Dodson mixed it up offensively as she handled the ball under pressure and saw the floor in the set as well as in the open court. She has a nice change of pace to get the defender leaning so her attacking the basket to finish or dish was nice, and so was her jumper, in the halfcourt or the stop-and-pop in transition. She also played solid defense, on the ball, and has good timing as she came from nowhere to block shots

Mikayla Tampus-5'3 G (J Squad 2024) Soutide [2024] AR

Tampus falls into that #sizedontmatter category because she can play. She's a heady point guard that understands how to control the tempo as well as how to run her team and her setting her teammates up for easy shots was nice, yet so was her being able to take over offensively when needed. She attacks smoothly off the dribble and finished strongly, but her midrange was also solid

[player_tooltip player_id='640045' first='Celina' last='Valeriano']-5'4 G ([program_tooltip program_id='712987' first='TNBA' last='Houston'] 2024) Morton Ranch [2024]

Valeriano caught my eye a while back with her ability to drop the long ball yet she does more than that and her showing the midrange as well as scoring off the dribble came shortly after. I enjoyed her scoring multiple ways but her ball handling and court vision also added to what she does yet her intensity on defense JUST DID IT for me because she helped create turnovers with on-the-ball pressure

[player_tooltip player_id='306144' first='Marleigh' last='Sellars']-5'8 G (Hoop Life 2024) Salem [2024] AR

Sellars did a good job of showing me a variety of what she brings to the table on both days because her handling the ball effortlessly and at times dazzling had me smiling. She saw the floor in the open court after rebounding as well is in the set, she created her shot to attack off the dribble and dropped the pull-up jumper

[player_tooltip player_id='453760' first='Stephie' last='Salumu']-6'1 F (Kansas Blue Jays 2024)

Salumu scored around the basket with ease, she's long and athletic with the "hands and footwork" combo. She also scored on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends but she can step outside and drop the midrange as well as take the defender off the dribble from the wing. Her interior defense was nice, she has good timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots, but she also can defend outside the paint

[player_tooltip player_id='347864' first='Madison' last='Smith']-5'8 G ([program_tooltip program_id='712424' first='Kansas' last='Bluejays'] 2024)

Smith creates her shot under pressure and drops the mid to long-range consistently. Her poise also stood out, she wants the ball in pressure situations and can deliver but she also scored off the dribble which kept the defender honest. Her court vision and ball handling were nice, she applied pressure on defense and even hit the boards

Mia Adams-5'9 G/F (Team Griffin 2024 Gaulden) 2025

Adams is "long and athletic" and if you've been paying attention, you know that is the base because I love that profile, and more importantly, so do college coaches. She goes after everything off the rim, she has good timing on defense to block shots but she also applies the ball pressure baseline to baseline. She also does something I love to see, plays the passing lane
