Amayo grabbed my attention at the Queen Of The South see evaluation here, and she was definitely one of the biggest surprises, yet her UPS looked even more impressive as well as her athleticism to come from out of nowhere to block shots as well as rebound, on both ends. Her interior defense was solid, she even stepped outside the paint to defend, and she scores around the basket

Hanks continues to impress me since I saw her dropping NBA range 3 pointers back in middle school, see evaluations here, but I'm all about "on the court" progression as she continues to show she's more than a long ball threat. Yes, she's a "long and athletic" guard, which is the base, but her court vision, as well as ballhandling under pressure, has shot up, as well as her scoring off the dribble and defending, which included playing the passing lane

Tapia falls into that SWB group, "speed with the ball," and seeing her blow by the defender in the set and turn on the turbo in the court made her an immediate favorite the first time I saw her play. Why, because she's under control and is unselfish, so her "on the ball" pressure coupled with quick hands usually means points going the other way, and her jumper as well as court vision, also stood out

Scipio blew me away earlier this season as she, too, blows by defenders with ease. She falls into that #sizedontmatter group, and one more time, when you can play, it doesn't matter. Her defensive tenacity is among the things you can't teach, so watching her diving on the floor for loose balls, as well as applying baseline to baseline to baseline pressure, is a plus, yet she also scores off the dribble and drops the jumper, and her court vision is also solid

Watson also understands the importance of bringing heat on both ends of the court, and since she's one of those "never takes a play off" players, her ability to create havoc on the defensive end pays dividends in so many ways. For one thing, she can spark her teammates after making a defensive stop or acrobatic finish, yet her "stop and pop" jumper and playing the passing lane looked good as well
