2025 Rankings Playmaking Guards

The 2025 rankings were recently updated by the Prep Hoops staff. Here we look at 5 playmaking Guards from the rankings. Note this is not in order of rankings. [player_tooltip player_id='496113' first='Callie' last='Cosgrove'], Position SG, High School Conard Callie is a high energy playmaker. She can shoot from the outside, and also attack down hill. She manages to score in the paint over bigger defenders. She uses her strength, quickness, and ability to change speeds to get past the defense. She is also a versatile defender, that has no problem guarding players bigger in size. She has good anticipation on defense leading to steals, and fast break opportunities for her team. Callie is proving her game will translate well to the next level. [player_tooltip player_id='270726' first='Ava' last='Orlando'], Position PG, High School Notre Dame Academy Ava had a standout season last year at Norte Dame Academy. Ava is only going into her Junior season, but already reached the 1000 point club. Ava is not just a scorer, as she is a very good defender, and also a good facilitator, who makes players around her better. She is a high percentage shooter, because of her shot selection, decision making, and scoring ability. Ava is a very good two way player, that brings it night in and out. She has a good skill set, and can score in multiple ways. She can finish through contact at the rim, and play inside and out. She has a competitive drive that you can't teach. A tough player on both sides of the floor. She is always communicating and a extension of the coach. She can be flashy, but is also fundamentally sound. She is a very crafty player, with her handles, and variety of finishing moves at the rim. She is a three level scorer and a good passer as well. Madison is a fun player to watch. [player_tooltip player_id='298028' first='Brynn' last='Bryant'], Position PG, High School Dexter, Brynn is a high energy two way player. She can play inside and out. She can score at the rim and shoot from the outside. She can create her own shot. Despite her size, her strength and quickness make up for it. She is physical, and finishes well through contact. Brynn is a player who has the skills to take over a game. A tough gritty player, that's comfortable playing on or off the ball.
