Steward guard Ella Grace Saunders Ella Grace Saunders 5’10” | SG Steward | 2026 VA is part of an excellent 2026 class Steward has. Led by Sanai Green Sanai Green 6’0″ | SF Steward School | 2026 State VA , who is arguably Virginia’s best player in her class. Ella Grace Saunders Ella Grace Saunders 5’10” | SG Steward | 2026 VA played her second year of varsity ball this year, and she will grow into a fantastic player. Even though her percentages don’t show it, she’s a good shooter and had some big games shooting the three this year. Her release is quick and natural, and I also love her ability as a rebounder. She will raise that 3-point % next year, and you will hear her name more next year.
Highlights
D’Shlea Walker
D’Shlea Walker
D’Shlea Walker is a complete basketball player who does it on both ends. D’Shlea shoots the ball well and plays the game extremely hard. She racks up steals with her tenacity and is an excellent rebounder for her size. She averaged 13 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.5 APG. She also had 3.4 SPG and 1.1 BPG, and she finished first-team all-district.
Janaye Martinez
Janaye Martinez
Unfortunately, Janaye Martinez was stuck on an underwhelming basketball team this season, so not many people got the chance to watch her. She averaged 11.1 PPG, 11.4 RPG, and 4.6 BPG. She is long and uses it well to impose her will inside.
Keeniya Kelly
Keeniya Kelly
Keeniya Kelly might be one of the more underrated players in the state. Most of that has to do with the fact she played in the same backcourt as Alexis and Erin Edmonds Erin Edmonds 5’9″ | CG Hopewell | 2025 State VA , who get a lot of praise, and rightfully so. But Keeniya Kelly was a critical piece to a fantastic Hopewell team. She played hard and finished the year averaging 11.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, and 4.3 SPG. She was a role player this year, but with Alexis Edmonds Alexis Edmonds 5’8″ | CG Hopewell | 2023 State VA graduating, she will have a more prominent role next year and get more attention.
Collegiate big Clare Aman Clare Aman 6’1″ | C Collegiate | 2026 State VA is a double-double machine with a solid presence inside the paint. She averaged 10.4 RPG this year and did it playing against some of the best competition in the state. Clare has good defensive instincts and has a chance to excel on that side of the floor. She still needs to be more efficient around the rim, but if she gets more comfortable, you could see her raising her PPG from 9.4 to something in the mid-teens.

Sydney Moore Sydney Moore 5’8″ | SG Virginia Academy | 2026 State VA is a fantastic 3-point shooter that has excellent range. She will have a significant role next season playing at Virginia Academy. You can check her out this AAU season, playing two levels up on PVT Thunder 17U. Her game revolves around her shooting, but I’ve seen flashes of her developing other parts of her game. If she does that, she will find herself in the rankings.
