Kansas Class of 2024: Prolific Scorers In Class 3A Part One

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Staff for the Prep Girls Hoops Kansas site is currently working on a large update for the Class of 2024 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After researching a series on top rebounders in Kansas, I am going to work on a deep dive on prolific scorers in the Class of 2024 to stockpile names for that rankings update.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Starting in Class 3A schools there were unofficially more than a dozen players who averaged double-digit scoring during their junior seasons.&nbsp; Here is a report on six athletes in the Class of 2024 who averaged 12 points or more during the 2022-2023 season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='392328' first='Kylie' last='Disbrow']</strong>, 6'0”, PF, Anderson County</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Disbrow finished her junior season scoring 17.3 points per game. She is a stat machine who averaged 12.4 rebounds per game and 8.4 blocks per game. She is a three-level scorer who has a really nice jump shot. Disbrow is currently ranked No. 46 in the PGH Kansas rankings for the Class of 2024.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='396406' first='Kaelee' last='Washington'], </strong>5'10” PF, Santa Fe Trail</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Washington averaged 13.5 points per game during her junior campaign. The Santa Fe Trail prospect also is a solid rebounder who averaged 8.7 rebounds per game. She plays on both ends of the court as she finished with more than two steals per game. Washington is ranked No. 43 in the PGH Class of 2024 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='396401' first='Caitlyn' last='Foltz']</strong>, 5'11”, PF, Anderson County</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Foltz averaged 13.5 points per game during the 2022-2023 season. If you do the math Foltz and Disbrow together combined for 30 points per game. Foltz like Disbrow also averaged a double-double during her junior season as she averaged 10.6 rebounds per game. The most impressive part of Foltz's game is that she is willing to do the dirty work down low and score second-chance points on sheer hustle and aggressive play Foltz is currently ranked No. 132 among her class of 2024 peers in Kansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='532207' first='Caelyn' last='Ferguson']</strong>, 6'0”, SG, &nbsp;Heritage Christian Academy</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ferguson averaged 13.3 points per game during her junior season. She knows how to create space to get her shot off and she can really stop and pop. She is a leader for the Chargers and will need to show she can score against shutdown defenders. Ferguson is ranked No. 96 in the PGH Kansas Class of 2024 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Anna Schenk</strong>, 5'6”, SF, Heritage Christian Academy</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schenk averaged 13 points per game giving the Chargers a solid one-two scoring punch. Schenk also averaged 10.9 rebounds per game to average a double-double per game. She likes to drive the ball and is an athletic and quick player. Schenk also plays setter for the Chargers volleyball team and a defender for the Chargers soccer squad.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='606260' first='Jenessa' last='Ruder']</strong>, 5'9”, G, Norton</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ruder averaged 12.9 points per game as a junior. She has averaged double-digit scoring two years in a row as she averaged 11.2 points per game during her sophomore season. She can score from three levels and has a gorgeous jump shot. Ruder can also clean the glass as she averaged 4.7 rebounds per game during the 2022-2023 season. Ruder is currently ranked No. 146 in the Class of 2024 rankings for Kansas players according to Prep Girls Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
