Over the next two days, I want to go over a few kids to watch going into the May Live Period. Most of the teams in Wisconsin will be in Louisville, but others may be in Iowa. However, I want to highlight some kids I believe are worthy of a scholarship going into May 19th.

Whenever I watch a [player_tooltip player_id='448322' first='Torie' last='Neubauer'] game, she never fails to impress. The Appleton East wing had to play some at the five this season due to the lack of size, but she's capable of playing anywhere but as a lead guard, in my opinion. I love her touch around the rim and ability to finish through traffic and contact. It also helps that she has the shooting touch to step behind the three-point and stretch the defense, and she's not afraid to shoot the ball in crunch time because she hit a few important ones down the stretch of their last game.

[player_tooltip player_id='448246' first='Addison' last='Baumgart']

The Kaukauna forward has shot the leather off the ball since the AAU season started and has only had, maybe, two off games by her standards, which she's set high these past 45 days. Her ability to play the four at her size and the touch from the perimeter has made her 1848 Legends team formidable and, at worst, has lost games by a few points, but other than that, they've been cruising, and Baumgart is a significant reason why that's been the case.

[player_tooltip player_id='374230' first='Addy' last='Verhagen']

After a few years, I finally saw Verhagen play, and she was excellent with the ball. Everything ran through her when the game started to wind down, and it felt like she pulled every string. Whether it was making clutch free throws, knocking down crucial shots, or making the right pass, Verhagen did all of it. The first thing people will knock her on is her size, but there isn't a thing she doesn't do as a lead guard. Her instincts are next-level ready right now, so it's all about fine-tuning, but her confidence is infectious, so I 100% believe in her.

[player_tooltip player_id='266993' first='Ava' last='Brandenburg']

I've talked about Brandenburg plenty over the past year and a half, but I can't say enough good things about her. Brandenburg has everything you'd need to excel at a scholarship-level program. Everything the Evansville product does is with confidence. She can score in bunches, okay on the wing, with the ball, back to the basket, mid-post, high post, on the ball, off the ball, she can do it all. She isn't an elite athlete at her size, but she's outplayed more athletic kids in a situation where most haven't succeeded. Someone's getting a gem in her.
