The Let it Rain wing had another solid weekend and showed flashes of being a blue-chip small-school prospect. She’s an explosive athlete and had some incredible finishes around the rim. I had not seen much of her before this AAU season, and she’s been a kid I’ve liked more and more after seeing her in multiple tournaments. Her consistency has been impressive, and she’s got into some things she likes, especially getting downhill, no matter who lines up against her, and that’s impressive. Most of the WIAC schools, I’m sure, have interest in her, and if she ended up in that conference, she’d probably be one of the better kids in the 2024 class.
Lauren Strifling Lauren Strifling 5'11" | PF Homestead | 2025 State WI
Every time I see Strifling, some moments are eye-catching. She’s looked more confident in a more significant role this season and has been more assertive offensively whenever she gets the ball, and she’s making shots which also helps a lot. She’s a 5-11 wing who can do a little of everything and play on the wing or with her back to the basket. Strifling can play many different roles, and I would not be shocked if she’d be one of the more recruited kids off her Chapman team.
Claire Meudt Claire Meudt 5'10" | SF Waunakee | 2024 State WI
The 2023 AAU season is Meudt’s first year with Impact, and I like what she brings to the floor. For one, she can play in a few different spots in the backcourt, and she’s comfortable driving and kicking, which fits what Impact likes to do, so she fits like a glove. I feel like I haven’t seen her at her best, but she does stuff that goes unnoticed. In the grand scheme of things that aren’t on stat sheets, like staying in front of their assignment, is where she excels.
Julia Koch
I haven’t seen Koch play before this weekend, and she’s another I don’t think I saw at her best, but the appeal is obvious. She’s a strong guard who moves her feet defensively and shoots the ball from range. Her strength also makes her jumper look effortless, and every shot, no matter where it’s taken, is the same. I’m not sure where her level is yet, but no matter where she goes, the spacing she brings will help her find minutes early at any school she plays at.
