Ellie Schiszik Ellie Schiszik 5'5" | PG Elk Mound | 2025 State WI
The Elk Mound guard is putting together an incredible career for the Mounders. Schiszik will likely end up at or near the top of multiple program leaderboards, and she’s still improving. She has always been able to score in bunches and is a reliable go-to scorer when the Mounders need offense late in games. However, I’ve thought she’s improved with her floater game in the past three years. She’s been uber-confident taking them in traffic or with athletic wings draped all over her. She’s a kid most of the state may never see, but she’s a highly-productive guard.
Danica Gosz Danica Gosz 5'8" | SG Germantown | 2025 State WI
The first two years for Gosz at Germantown, she had to figure out how to play off of KK Arnold, and she had the natural ups and downs that any underclassman would have in those high-pressure games the Warhawks played in. However, Gosz was one of the biggest surprises this year. She looked comfortable in the run-and-gun frantic style of basketball the Warhawks played, and she showed some individual moments of brilliance with her deep threes or euro-steps around the basket. She had gotten the label of a streaky shooter over her first two seasons but showed a new side of her game this year.
Emily Jensen Emily Jensen 5'9" | SG Verona | 2025 State WI
I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Jensen at Verona yet. Playing behind two scholarship-level guards and for two different head coaches in her first three years isn’t easy, but she’s shown flashes of her shooting being an elite trait, and there’s a chance that she pops in her senior season as a Wildcat. There is plenty to like in her game on both ends. Jensen has solid length that suggests she could develop on the defensive end, and her shot looks efficient enough to handle more shots. She’s a kid coaches should take a look at this summer.
Ella Francois Ella Francois 5'7" | PG West De Pere | 2025 State WI
An unfortunate injury took away Francois’ junior season before it started, but we’re inching closer to her return. Francois has a force to her game that few guards can match. Francois was also a near 40% three-point shooter, on lower volume, in her sophomore season. She was on the brink of turning a corner, and from everything I’m hearing, she’s close to 100% and could pick up where she left off last summer. She’s a skilled guard who can play either guard spot and help an offense create or score and sit down and defend either guard spot. I couldn’t be more excited to see her on the floor again.
