Freeland is becoming habit in these articles! She’s simply having a standout grassroots season and has shown that she can be a high level go-to scorer. Over Mother’s Day weekend, she averaged just over 15 points per game. Freeland terrific play was highlighted by a semifinal game in which she scored 20 points, grabbed 6 boards and came up with 5 swipes.
Kilbarger had a very good Mother’s Day weekend on the basketball court. She starred for The Naturals at the Windy City Showdown. Kilbarger was a model of consistent play and versatile scoring. She had games with point totals of 17, 16 and 15. In the 15 point outsing she shot a staggering 7-8 from the field. Kilbarger also showed that her game is much more than scoring, often hitting all edges of the stat sheet.

Dillard is sending a message loud and clear statewide with UTS Lady Elite this grassroots season. Big plays make for big days and Dillard made them over the weekend. On a day where defense ruled the day, she came up huge on that end throughout the event. She picked up a huge steal and then hit a triple off of it on the other end that won a sudden death OT game.

This is a name to watch as grassroots season rolls along. Collins could be on the verge of a breakout grassroots season. She’s very athletic with quick feet and nice straight line speed with and without the ball in her hands. Collins proved that she can take and make big shots in big moments of a game. She could make a lot of noise as an attacking lead guard that forces action out of the defense.
