Continue ReadingThe weekend’s full slate of Prep Girls Hoops Circuit events came to a close on May 7 – the first Sunday of the month – as events in Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas and Georgia were in the books.
The Georgia event was staged at several high schools west of downtown Atlanta in Douglas County – and welcomed teams predominantly from the southeast but also from other areas of the country. One of the teams that made the trip arrived representing Wisconsin.
As the Sunday morning advanced to the afternoon, the gathering’s conclusion was approaching. But there were still plenty of names who shined bright as Peach Games neared its closing hours.
Sarra Abdelbarr
Sarra Abdelbarr
This is a name that we remember from when the Triumph Region got underway last month in Spartanburg and her Carolina All-Stars 2025 team put forth on outstanding showing. Her team finished the weekend against Georgia-based Wood Elite 2027. Abdelbarr had 10 points – including eight that were scored in the second half when, at one point, it appeared as if Wood Elite 2027 would simply run away with the game. Abdelbarr stands at 5-foot-7 and is the only representative from Durham Academy that is part of this season’s Carolina All-Stars 2025 roster. She is set up nicely for even more success as she advances into the veteran portion of her career.
Morgan Landrum
Morgan Landrum
Wood Elite 2027 was part of the 16U classification for Peach Games. That is what made their weekend performance all the more noteworthy given the team finished 4-0 while playing up in class. Landrum finished her weekend in emphatic fashion with a 12-point effort to dispatch of North Carolina-based Carolina All-Stars 2025. Landrum found plenty of success attacking the basket and also found success in drawing contact and getting herself to the free throw line. She also managed to steer clear – for the most – part of the referee’s whistle as she was only called for two personal fouls in her final game of the weekend.
Ansley Dunn
Ansley Dunn
Speaking of those who closed out their weekends with an exclamation point, Dunn also did the same for her Wood Elite 2027 team. Dunn also chimed in with 12 points in the victory over Carolina All-Stars 2025 which ensured the team would finish Peach Games with an unblemished mark. Eight of her 12 were tallied in the second half of play. Dunn also had Wood Elite 2027’s only successful 3-point attempt of that game. With her ability to handle the basketball and limit turnovers, Dunn shows herself to be a true point guard who can sometimes find herself in iso scenarios.
Miami Solomon
Miami Solomon
Solomon contributed 10 points to Wood Elite 2027’s winning performance against Carolina All-Stars 2025. She is one who does not shy away from contact. Solomon welcomes the opportunity to increase her (and her team’s) point output from the free throw line. She has already been playing up in class throughout the 2023 AAU season given she is a 2028. In addition to what she can get accomplished as a scorer, she uses her height to her advantage when doing the work she does on the glass. Coaches relish the opportunity to work with players who have upside. Solomon has upside and then some.
Evie Freeman
Evie Freeman
Blue Heat Basketball Academy 2026 played two games to close out Peach Games. In one of those games, Freeman finished a contest against Porter Sports 2026 as a layup she converted on gave her team the victory by assuming a 20-point lead with under two minutes to play. For the game, she put 14 points on the board – including eight of those 14 coming in the second half. Freeman stands at 5-foot-7 and can find herself in iso scenarios to begin a team’s halfcourt offense. She understands the art of getting through opposing defenses and finding lanes to the rim.
Mikyla Wilson
Mikyla Wilson
Lights Out Ballers 2026 had a rough go of things for Saturday’s portion of Peach Games, but the Georgia-based team finally got in the win column with a victory over Kentucky Elite 2026. In that matchup, Wilson finished with 14 points. She was particularly effective from behind the 3-point line as she sank home a quartet of 3-pointers en route to the impressive performance. Out of those 14, 12 of those were tallied in the second half. Wilson also had a good game in terms of the referee’s whistle as she did with the scoreboard – she was not booked for a personal foul throughout the entirety of the matchup.
Mackenzie Jenkins
Mackenzie Jenkins
After being dealt losses in its first two contests of the 2023 rendition of Peach Games, Lights Out Ballers 2026 decided the time for being placed in the loss column was finished. Jenkins contributed greatly to the team’s victory over Kentucky Elite 2026 with a 10-point outing. She did most of her scoring early and often as eight of her 10 came in the first half when Lights Out Ballers 2026 jumped out to a 43-17 advantage with 16 minutes in the books. One must watch out for Jenkins when she is behind the 3-point arc as well and she also has an affinity for drawing contact which can send her to the foul line also.
Sydney Perkins
Sydney Perkins
By virtue of a commanding victory over ISA Lady Snipers 2025, Kentucky Elite 2025 finished the weekend in Georgia with a 3-1 record. Perkins capped off her time in the Atlanta area with a noteworthy performance as she tallied 13 points in the victory. Perkins is a skilled rim attacker who also gives a team a great deal of hustle. Offensively, she can give a team production with her 3-point shooting as well as with her ability to draw contact and get to the free throw line. Out of the 13 points that Perkins scored in Sunday afternoon’s game, nine of them were scored in the first half.
Rowan Radaszewski
Rowan Radaszewski
Radaszewski also wasted no time contributing to Kentucky Elite 2025’s rout of ISA Lady Snipers 2025. She too had a 13-point performance and 11 of those 13 were placed on the scoreboard in the first half. Radaszewski stands at 5-foot-11 and is the lone representative on this year’s Kentucky Elite 2025 roster who is representing Breckinridge County HS. She has no problems drawing contact and getting to the free throw line and all but one of her field goals for the game were of the two-point variety. In addition, Radaszewski was only called for one personal foul throughout Sunday afternoon’s get-together.
SMAC Kentucky Royals 2026 had a forgettable weekend in terms of its team record, but coach Tricia Macke’s squad should be proud of some of the individual performances that took place in Georgia. Barber closed out her weekend at Peach Games with a nine-point performance against a Florida-based Blue Heat Basketball Academy 2026 team that was one of the teams to beat in the 15U field from start to finish for the weekend. Barber stands at 5-foot-7 and that comes in useful in the rebounding game. She will find spacing in the open floor to get quality shots and excels as a defender.
