I thought Ansley played very well in a close game against a very talented and tough opponent in Game Three on Saturday. Dunn, as per usual, found a variety of ways to put the ball in the basket for Wood Elite while also facilitating the offense and spread the ball around to her very talented teammates. Dunn did damage from the three point line multiple times throughout the game. She does not need a lot of time or space to get her shot off with a very quick release. Dunn has excellent ball handling as well and was able to penetrate the opposing defense several times throughout the game either finishing from the midrange or getting to the basket and scoring over taller defenders. One college coach sitting courtside made it clear how big of an impact Dunn would make for her program on the next level.

Dunn also had a very well balanced performance in helping lead Cherokee over a young, talented McEachern team in the first round. Dunn’s stat line included 28 points scored, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Dunn has cat-like quickness making it hard for defenders to stay in front of her and an excellent shot from the perimeter. She used that combination to keep the defense off balance and guessing what she was going to do with the ball. Dunn is an excellent athlete and she used her speed to create turnovers on defense and turn them into easy points on the break on offense. Dunn is only scratching the surface as a sophomore and should be a player to watch the riot of these playoffs and the next two years in Georgia.

A true point guard with elite poise and creativity. Dunn plays with pace, keeps her dribble alive under pressure, and reads the floor like a veteran. Her ability to finish with her left hand makes her unpredictable off the bounce. A high-IQ defender and clutch shot-maker, Dunn buried a buzzer-beating three to send Cherokee to the Final Four.

Plays beyond her years. Undersized guard with a low center of gravity and elite quickness. Has the ball on a string and breaks down defenders as a drive-and-kick creator. Excellent vision and decision-making. Dangerous scorer—can hit floaters in traffic or pull from deep. Uses both hands well and has the wiggle to shake defenders. Aggressive on-ball defender who causes problems with her pressure.

Ansley was the best pure PG playing for a 16U team at Peach Games. She set up the offense and managed the game for her team this weekend. Her passing and court vision make her a premier guard in Georgia’s 2028 class. It was great to see her compete against players two years older than her and have no issues at that level.

Ansley plays up a class on 16U, and that 16U team was playing up in the 17U division this weekend which means she was technically playing up two classes. She was the floor general for Wood Elite all weekend and controlled the pace and the game for her team on their way to a 3-1 weekend against older competition. Her court vision, crisp passes, and even nice touch passes over the top of defenders made her one of the best point guards at the Peach Games. She’s also able to get to the basket and hit a really nice runner off the glass in the game I watched.

This young lady can play! Under control with the basketball! Nightmare to guard! Her moves on transition are some of the best I’ve seen! Behind the back pass to herself and connects! Tremendous speed, and her bullet passes wowed me! Court vision is splendid! Automatic from the line. (Featured Photo)

Terrific ball handler helped Cherokee to the Final Four, hitting a pull-up three to beat Hillgrove in the Elite Eight. Low center of gravity. Shifty with great court vision. Uses her off arm to shrug defenders off her. Elite playmaker.

Dunn is a floor general that controls tempo. A point guard who can facilitate and score when needed. She made some tough shots in the paint and found her teammates in the open floor. It’s hard to believe she is only a freshman but plays with so much poise and control. A player that will be on everyone’s scout for years to come.

Up from No. 22: Has settled in nicely as Cherokee’s starting point guard. Comfortable against pressure. Sees the floor well as a playmaker. Uses a low center of gravity to turn corners and get downhill as a drive and kick distributer. Provides offense with her jump shot off the dribble.
