There are plenty of small forwards that can be expected to make plenty of noise over the upcoming year. The seven below are among that group.

[player_tooltip player_id='347872' first='Tamia' last='Davis'], 6'0", Blue Valley Northwest, [program_tooltip program_id='715965' first='Earl' last='Watson Academy'], 2024 - I have been fortunate to see Davis play at a pair of past PGH events. Fast and long, Davis has strong handles and is a solid perimeter threat. Probably the one thing that stood out to most is how well she positions herself defensively to disrupt passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='606250' first='Elle' last='Denning'], 5'10", Salina Central, 2024 - A shooter with a fluid, quick release Denning has speed and quickness to play on top of the full court zone press.

[player_tooltip player_id='675828' first='Ajala' last='Glover'], 5'10", Lawrence, 2025 - "Aja" Glover is among the returners for a Lions squad that unleashed relentless full court pressure last season with a deep, fast, athletic team. Her size, speed, and hustle take advantage of her good hands in transition. She also has athleticism that enables her to defend a variety of post players and contest shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='396397' first='Kaylin' last='Noonan'], 5'7", Burlingame, 2024 - Noonan became Burlingame's school scoring record holder last season and is a two-time Lyon County first team selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='539009' first='Prayer' last='Roebuck'], 5'10", Neodesha, [program_tooltip program_id='715510' first='365' last='Hoops Elite'], 2025 - Roebuck is a Tri-Valley League first team selection with a solid IQ. With solid handles and speed to go end-to-end off a rebound, what really catches my eye is her movement without the ball. She occupies defenders. And with a slip-up Roebuck is as likely to stroke a three off the catch or use her handles and length to score off the drive. Roebuck received Tri-Valley League first team and Varsity Kansas 3A Honorable mention selections.

[player_tooltip player_id='544030' first='Katelyn' last='Vogts'], 5'11", Circle, 2026 - Vogts is a interesting talent who split time last season on jayvee and varsity. Appearing in 22 varsity games she averaged 2.7 points and 1.5 rebounds. Her coming out party may have been in 4A sub-state final against Hugoton where she canned four threes. A lanky player who shoots well from 12'-15' off her own dribble and out of a pivot, Vogts is developing into a interior presence on both ends of the floor. With improved speed, lateral quickness on defense, and overall game maturity Vogts is a viable all-league candidtate.

[player_tooltip player_id='192784' first='Shea' last='Wurtz'], 5'9", Clyde-Clifton, 2024 - A Twin Valley League first team honoree, Wurtz is also a two-time KBCA 1A Division I honorable mention selection. Wurtz is quick, aggressive, athletic, and disruptive defensively. Prior to last season I figured she would generate a lot of dirty work points due to her defensive distruptiveness and activeness on the glass. She completed the season averaging 12 points and 8.1 rebounds. I like how she keeps the ball high off the catch and rebound and goes up quickly, hustles in transition, jumps to the glass, and effectively uses a power dribble creating her own shot around the basket.
