While I mostly watched upperclassmen at the Summer Championships there were some incoming freshmen that caught my eye.

Here are a few of them that stood out and will be on my radar as they enter high school in the fall:

[player_tooltip player_id='663048' first='Claire' last='Greenwade'] undecided (Team Kaizen)

Claire played with very good poise and composure. She has an aggressive downhill approach to the game. She attacked the lane often whether it was in a halfcourt set or on the fast break. She also displayed a nice floater once she got in the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='663049' first='Lily' last='McCracken'] Notre Dame Prep (Hoop Code)

McCracken is a tough hard nosed player who gives her all on both ends of the court. On offense she displayed a variety of moves including a nice floater and mid range jump shot. On defense she was relentless in trying to turnover the opposition. She is a good rebounder for her size. McCracken will get big varsity minutes immediately.

[player_tooltip player_id='663050' first='Trinity' last='King'] AZ Compass Prep (AZ Supreme)

A tough hard nosed combo guard, King knocked down shots from deep with a nice stroke. She was a ball hawk on defense. She fought hard in order to make whomever she was covering very uncomfortable.

[player_tooltip player_id='663052' first='Savannah' last='Tobias'] Cottonwood (PV Ballers)

Tobias is a tough forward with a good all around skill set. She shot the ball with range and also showed the ability to put it on the floor. On defense she played with a good feel for where she needed to be at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='663051' first='Cadence' last='Murdough'] Higley (Team Kaizen)

Cadence is a nice forward prospect who showed potential. She showed a nice shooting touch out to the three point line. She runs the floor well for her size and uses her length on defense to contest shots. She rebounded very well in and out of her area.

[player_tooltip player_id='625068' first='JaiDen' last='Rhodes'] AZ Compass Prep (AZ Supreme)

A heady point guard who plays the game from the shoulders up, Rhodes didn't make many unforced turnovers. She showed the ability to change pace very well depending on how her opponent defended her. She was patient in seeing what the defense gave her and where the opportunities were at. On defense she had quick active hands and quick feet.
