Aiyanna Perkins Aiyanna Perkins 5'7" | CG Bella Vista Prep | 2025 State AZ – is a 5-7 sophomore at McClintock High School in Tempe. She is the top returning scorer for next season, averaging 23.6 points per game last winter. She has a 3.60 GPA and also plays for her club team, Southwest Premier. She was selected as the 5A Player of the Year for the Chargers. In the first round of the AIA State Tournament, she exploded for 42 points in an upset win over Canyon View. Aiyanna also joined the 1,000-point club as a sophomore. A scout commented on her game: “She is one of the best scoring guards in the class of 2025. She can knock down shots from the perimeter, explode past defenders for layups and finish through contact in the lane. Defensively, she is deceptively quick and does a really good job of staying in front of defenders. For a guard, she physically rebounds very well.” In 27 games, she also averaged 4.9 rebounds and 4.6 steals. In her first two years, she shot over 50% each season on her two-point field goal attempts.
EVALUATION: Aiyanna is the leading returning scorer for 2024. She has already accumulated 1,095 points in her first two seasons at McClintock. In one tournament game last February she had 42 points and was named Player of the Game by Max Preps. She also had an amazing 4.6 steals per game. As a freshman, she averaged 22.9 points per game and shot over 50% from the field. She is now ready for an outstanding junior year.
Jerzy Robinson Jerzy Robinson 6'0" | CG Sierra Canyon | 2026 State CA – is a 6-1 freshman at Desert Vista High School and the second leading returning scorer for 2024. In 31 games last season, she averaged 22.0 points per game to go along with 8.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals. She was selected by Max Preps to the Arizona All-Freshmen Team. She led Desert Vista to the inaugural Open Division State Title with a win over Millennium, 63-37. Jerzy had 21 points and nine rebounds in the title game. She already has 10 Division 1 scholarship offers. One scout commented on her game: ” She is considered one of the most talented players in the country, ranked on ESPN’s watch list for the class of 2026. Kevin McCabe, host of AZPrepLive, said: “She has an opportunity to be the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve been doing this for 43 years but it’s just a magical thing she does on the floor.”
EVALUATION: Jerzy is considered one of the top ten freshmen in the country by a number of evaluators. She is an outstanding scorer and playmaker and helped lead Desert Vista to a state title. She already has double-digit scholarship offers from D1 colleges. She is also a relentless defender and her presence on the court makes everyone on her team a better player. She is only going to grow and get better with three more years of high school competition.
MAYLA TREJO – is a 5-5 junior guard from St. David High School who finished third last season in the state in scoring. She averaged 21.4 points per game. In s total of 53 games spanning her sophomore and junior seasons, she averaged 16.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 4.1 steals. Mayla also plays on the St. David volleyball team. She averaged 5.3 steals as a junior and was in the top ten in the state. She also had a career-high 43 points in a game against San Simon last January. She was selected as the Volleyball Player of the Game in a match last September. She was nominated for Player of the Week by Max Preps for her performance in late January for her scoring against both San Simon and then hitting 28 points vs. Desert Vista.
EVALUATION: Mayla is a fluid scorer and playmaker and is valuable to her team as both a shooter and driving the lane. She is also an outstanding player in transition and leads the St. David fast break. Mayla also shines as a defensive player, being among the state leaders in steals per game. She was selected as the Division 1A All-Star Player of the Year by AllSportsTucson.com. She is now ready for an outstanding senior season.
TIANNA KNIGHTON – is a 5-8 junior from Arcadia High School in Phoenix. She finished this past season as the fourth-leading scorer in the state, averaging 21.3 points a game. She also plays on the Arcadia soccer team. She also averaged 8.2 rebounds and 4.0 steals last season. Tianna also had a triple-double earlier in the season against Saguaro High School. Over two full years, a total of 44 games, she averaged 19.7 points a game along with 6.5 rebounds, and 3.6 steals per game. She was awarded Player of the Game honors by Max Preps when a sophomore in December of 2021. Her Head Coach, Ryan Walcott, commented on her game: “She is our engine – when Tianna goes, we go.”
EVALUATION: Tianna is a versatile athlete with great athleticism and a strong work ethic. She is a prime-time shooter and ball-handler. She is also a tremendous defender and is among the state leaders in steals. According to her head coach, Ryan Walcott, “Tianna is the go-to person in the Arcadia offense.” She should have an outstanding senior season as she prepares to play at the next level in 2024-25.
TATIANA HARNESS – is a 5-3 freshman at Leading Edge Academy who finished fifth in the state in scoring, averaging 20.9 points per game She also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 steals, and 3.8 assists. She scored a career-high 42 points in a game last January against Valley Lutheran. She is a transfer from PHH Prep in Phoenix and she will be playing a national AAU schedule this spring and throughout the summer.
EVALUATION: Tati, although a freshman, plays like a seasoned veteran for Leading Edge Academy. She has a deadly mid-range jumper and is not afraid to drive to the rim. She makes all of her teammates better offensive players and on defense, she is among the state leaders in steals per game. Averaging nearly 21 points a game, the LEA team is loaded and will be in the running for a state championship next season.
