Abercrombie has really made strides this past season and into the spring with her play. Quinasia was named the Class 4A Player of the Year this past season for her play at Wade Hampton HS in the Upstate. She has continued her efforts on the Grassroots Circuit this spring.
She’s extremely athletic and really plays her whole game on getting to the basket and just be extremely ACTIVE at all times on the floor. Quinasia plays every play like it’s her last one – she will jump on the floor for a loose 50/50 ball every time without hesitation. Abercrombie has a offer from South Carolina State University already from this spring.
The Lady Generals did not participate in the SCBCA #SCLive in Rock Hill a few weeks back.
Brown just brings steadiness every time she plays for the Lady Gamecocks. Rickell can get the ball downhill to the basket or simply pop from long range behind the three-point line. She’s a WARRIOR with her attitude and play – there is never any let up in her game.
Rickell really takes pride in playing defense which is a trademark for basketball at Sumter HS. Brown is running on the Grassroots Circuit with SC Future this coming in July.
Mickell plays at a small Class 1A school in the southern part of the Palmetto State. Trinity has been a fixture here her whole career (No transferring) whatsoever for the Lady Tigers. Mickell plays the game a bit rugged at times down in the paint. She really thrives on battling and beating up defenders at times down on the block.
She runs with Lowco WBB out of the Hilton Head area on the Grassroots Circuit. Trinity has a good set of shoulders to work for position on both sides of the paint shows to have a good set of mitts when it comes to throwing the ball to her.
Hyman made good waves last season after transferring into Hammond from Dutch Fork HS. Kayce brings good versatility with her play. She can get the ball downhill at times or simply knockdown the jumper on the baseline. Kayce does a good job of finishing through contact and getting to the foul line.
She has the skill set to take the ball up the floor in the half court set or even better handle it in transition. Kayce will keep the ball up high every time after claiming it off the glass.
Will the Lady Skyhawks make some noise this coming season in SCISA Class 4A?
Givens has had a good June with her play in the Lady Stallions backcourt. Jayda brings a lot of aggressiveness and toughness to the floor. She will touch the paint or simply attack the baseline. Givens has no problems picking up any defensive assignments on the floor and guarding anyone at times. She constantly plays the game until the whistle is blown.
Jayda is the GLUE to this Lady Stallions team at times with her ability to do the little things. She takes pride in winning and competing which I really take in high regard. She is able to score the ball from behind the three-point line when needed.
Where will the Lady Stallions be this season in a very tough Class 4A?
Genesis is finishing and carving out space with her back to the basket this spring and summer. She really has showed her willingness to play on both sides of the block down in the paint. Young has a nice touch from the foul line today. She showed good hands here today with the ability to finish over her shoulder.
Genesis will be in action this coming weekend with the SC Eagles White in the Prep Girls Triumph Region Finals at the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg.
