With Spring ball wrapping up and summer leagues starting, I was able to see a lot of new players with huge potential to be a key addition to a college program. With offers being a huge stamp on that potential.. below are some of the top forwards!
Pape can seamlessly fit into any offense/defense due to her wide ranged skillset.. but also because she just does the little things that matter. She’s attentive on the defense side.. jumps pass lanes, switches with communication and can guard multiple positions. Offensively her ability to score from all angles and levels are a huge addition to her game as well. Fluid form, never seems rattled and can finish around the rim with contact.
London seems to add more to her game each time I see her play, or maybe her confidence is starting to match her potential. Either way, Walker-George has been a problem for guards/forwards to deal with. Uber athletic, strong and can get to the rim with just a couple of moves. Strong potential for a player who’s still putting together her game.
Highlights
Confidence doesn’t have to be spoken to Knight, cause this kid has a ton of it. From the outside she’s a sniper, and when she’s attacking the rim she knows how to use her length to finish over or around the defense. She’s as tough as they come too. As the muscle builds up, Knights talent should translate to the next level. A player who’s on the rise.
Highlights
Full of potential, Huffs plays The game off pure reaction and athleticism. She can knockdown the long ball, get to the rim and finish, and also can be just as much as a threat off the ball. She crashes the glass with consistency and can keep up with multiple positions. Strong upside.
Highlights
A strong post who can stretch the floor, and attack off the dribble and can finish around the rim with little to no dribbles. Gruber plays with great pace, she’s impactful and has great hands. The upside on Bella is high due to her uncapped skillset, she can play 3-5 and be just as effective in each position. A key player to watch with Example when July rolls around.
