The size and skillset that Bella has is hard to go unnoticed. On both sides of the ball she impacts the game. From a defensive standpoint, she holds her own in on the block, and can rebound at a solid rate. Offensively, she’s comfortable scoring on all levels, and a pure form allows her to stretch the court as well. Strong upside.

Gruber is a super talented forward with a very bright basketball future. She’s a true 3 level scorer that has a smooth jumper from beyond the arc, has nice touch from mid range, and can get buckets under the rim. Speaking of under the rim, Gruber is willing and able to get physical and battle in the paint. She also has excellent court vision and can pass out of the post and from the perimeter.

A strong post who can stretch the floor, and attack off the dribble and can finish around the rim with little to no dribbles. Gruber plays with great pace, she’s impactful and has great hands. The upside on Bella is high due to her uncapped skillset, she can play 3-5 and be just as effective in each position. A key player to watch with Example when July rolls around.

I was lucky enough to get to see Bella two Sundays in a row. She didn’t disappoint either time. Her defensive skills stood out again this weekend. She immediately boxes out as soon as the ball goes up. She rebounds with authority and her relentless pursuit of the ball troubles her opponents. Opponents have a tough time shooting over her.

Bella’s strength dominated her game at the showcase. A merciless defender who plays in the post with high energy and toughness. She crashes the boards with a purpose and doesn’t let anyone get in her way. When she pull downs the offensive boards, she puts the ball right back up becoming a double threat to her opponents.
