Who Played Well Today?
Dianna Blake Dianna Blake 6'1" | PF Ashley Ridge | 2024 State SC was great in her opening round game vs Eastside HS and roughly scored 22 points unofficially. Blake was extremely effective finishing shot after shot. Dianna is an automatic double-double every night for Ashley Ridge HS.
KeMarja Peay KeMarja Peay 5'10" | PF Lancaster | 2025 State SC was all over the place for her Lancaster HS Lady Bruins squad today. Peay finished everything in sight it seemed all night long and lived on the foul line. KeMarja was extremely effective inside the paint all day long with her play.
Maggie Chambers Maggie Chambers 5'11" | PF Pickens | 2024 State SC had a good spring on the Grassroots Circuit and it has carried over to the June period. Chambers is effective inside the paint on just hustle and effort. Maggie doesn’t play a flashy game by no means, but she does deliver results in points and rebounds. She’s constantly playing the game in hustle mode. Maggie attends Pickens HS in the Upstate.
Eagles Feature Three Players:
Airport HS is located in West Columbia and usually isn’t a powerhouse program by no means. The Eagles feature three players this season. Santana Reese Santana Reese 5'7" | CG Airport | 2024 State SC , Keyosha Hammond Keyosha Hammond 5'6" | SG Airport | 2024 State SC and Ja’sia Booth Ja’sia Booth 5'4" | PG Airport | 2025 State SC . Reese has good length and a great MOTOR while on the floor. Santana plays volleyball in the fall for the Eagles. She covers a lot of ground in the passing lanes and in transition.
Hammond is undersized shooting guard who piled up some numbers last season at North HS down in Orangeburg County. Keyosha has the ability to knockdown jumpers from the perimeter.
Booth has been a fixture here for it seems like a long time. Ja’sia runs the show from out top for the Lady Eagles. She has the ability to slash to the cup and get the ball into the paint.
Youngsters Lead Lady Lions:
Daniel HS is building for the future in the Upstate. The Lady Lions feature a three-headed monster in freshman Jordan Carey Jordan Carey 5'9" | SG Clarksville Christian | 2027 TN , Shala Williams Shala Williams 5'9" | SF Daniel | 2027 State SC and Junior Colleen D’Maio Colleen D’Maio 5'9" | SG Daniel | 2025 SC . All three of these ladies are left-handed to boot. Carey was extremely active attacking the basket all game long. Jordan was able to absorb contact on the way to the cup.
11 Years Old – Class of 2029:
Prep Girls Hoops first saw Hannah Riles Hannah Riles 5'6" | PG Lake City | 2029 SC a year ago as a 10-year-old. Today Riles saw plenty of action in the backcourt for the Lake City Lady Panthers. WOW bright future in hand for this young lady.
