There is no way I saw everyone, but there were a handful of kids I’d like to talk about because of the flashes I saw from them.
Dalia Thornton-Fay Dalia Thornton-Fay 5'11" | CG Minnetonka | 2026 State MN
I believe I’d seen the Minnetonka guard this past season when I watched them play Hortonville, but I thought she was one of the standouts in the morning session. She had a good initial burst and did an excellent job finishing around the rim. I loved her overall level of skill as a 26.
Autumn McCall Autumn McCall 6'2" | PF Centennial | 2025 State MN
I came to St. Thomas knowing McCall was a St. Thomas commit but had never seen her play before. I thought she was one of the more athletic kids at the camp. McCall did a solid job efficiently changing direction and finished some tough shots around the basket using her length. She fits the mold of athletic 4s who can switch on the perimeter, contain ball handlers for a few dribbles, and challenge shots around the basket. McCall’s a kid that makes going to the St. Thomas Elite Camp fun because I’ll get to see her a few more times at Summer Jam this weekend.
Olivia LeBlanc
I’ve only seen a few 2027s from Wisconsin, and LeBlanc was one of the early standouts. The lefty is a steady wing that does a tremendous job staying under control, especially in transition. She knocked a few threes in the final five on fives, and she looked consistent since I first saw her right before lunch. As the summer gets closer and the class of 2027 gets to campus, LeBlanc is a name I have written down to keep tabs on at Hudson. Her skillset will help her find a role at Hudson and, for her and the Raiders, hopefully, help them get to another sectional.
Pressley Watkins Pressley Watkins 6'0" | CG Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2027 State MN
I’d heard a few things here and there about Watkins, and she was excellent against kids at her age level and did more than hold her own against the older kids. As a guard, her 5-11 frame gives her size for the next level, and she can handle the ball at a high level. She has the potential to be a standout in Minnesota, which says a lot, and I loved all the moves with the ball she made, finishing around the rim, and her utilization of her body.
