This year the stow summer league hosted at and by Stow High School/coach Bob Podges will take place over five weeks starting on May 31st games beginning at four and ending at eight. The Stow Summer League is one of the best ran summer leagues in Northeast, OH as it brings competitive programs in the area to one location in June, and high school programs benefit from this summer league as it shows in the winter. In this year's summer league, 16 teams will make up the field of teams. The teams in this year's summer league include Stow high school, Kent, CVCA, Twinsburg, Walsh, Streetsboro, Mckinley, Hoban, Kenston, Tallmadge, Canfield, Field, Mayfield, Elms, Woodridge, and John Marshall. The stow summer league will run on Wednesdays and include some of the top talents from Northeast, OH. Here is a list of some of the players that will be at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id='319291' first='Naomi' last='Benson'] 6'2 Streetsboro Class of 2025

Benson is arguably turning into one of the best inside players in her class. She is a kid that has opened up her game and has taken a lot away from her AAU season. Benson will be exciting to watch this summer as she has picked up some good offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='368879' first='Joi' last='Williams'] 5'5 CVCA class of 2025

Williams has grown in experience which will only continue to get better for her high school program. This spring she proved to be more poised in game situations and making the right plays finding her teammates and good shot selection.

Mackenzie Edinburg 5'8 Hoban class of 2024

Edinburg has spent this spring developing and getting better on a one on one level in efforts for her to be big this season for her young team. Edinburg looks to take a leadership role this summer as she has a lot of experience and the month of June will be a big one for her.

Nierra Stevens 5'5 Hoban class of 2026

Stevens is a tough physical guard that can finish through traffic. She is a kid that can defend 94 feet and doesn't have a problem with leading which will be on full display as she grew up early last year. She prepared herself this spring for this summer and I believe she will continue moving in the right direction.

[player_tooltip player_id='280600' first='Kara' last='Courtad'] 5'11 Walsh class of 2024

Courtad has a lot of experience playing in big time moments and making plays to the teams benefit. She has the ability to make players around her better in which this summer league will aid in her further development for the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='626037' first='Cesily' last='Sutton'] 5'6 Walsh class of 2024

Cesily is a unselfish player and does a good job of making herself available. She is in the right place at the right time and does a good job communicating. Cesily will look to have a great summer as she will be a key into their success this season.

Kylonee Foster 5'6 Mckinley class of 2024

Foster on a young team that made it far is an aggressive guard that will make the right play. She has good defensive awareness and plays hard. In this summer league I look for her to lead the young pups and work to pick up where they left off this past season with her leadership.

[player_tooltip player_id='217304' first='Hadley' last='Hajdu'] 5'8 CVCA class of 2024

Hajdu is a good IQ basketball player that takes the right shots and is a tough one to guard. She is a unselfish player with really good passing ability. Hajdu has been in big games and has been the one to knock down big shots for her team. She will be taking on a load one that she can handle and it will show in this summer league.

Kayla Mayner 5'7 Woodridge class of 2024

Mayner is a solid guard that in this summer league have the ability to display her talent against teams that she doesn't normally see throughout the season. She is one that can knock down the midrange and a good perimeter shooter. This spring she has played well and I believe will continue to play well working towards a big senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='471403' first='Grace' last='McQuiston'] 5'7 Canfield class of 2024

Mcquiston is a worker on both ends of the floor making the right play and is always around when good things happen. She is a senior that has gotten a lot of game reps and will continue towards having a great senior year campaign. Mcquiston has impressed me over the years with how well she plays the game the right way and I don't see anything less than her getting better in this summer league.
